Job summary

HR Synq is seeking a Cardiologist specialized in interventional procedures to lead evaluation, diagnosis, and management of complex cardiovascular cases across OPD, IPD, and emergency settings. The role involves performing coronary angiography, PCI, and pacemaker implantation with rigorous pre- and post-procedure care.

Qualifications

• DM Cardiology or DrNB Cardiology from a recognized institution.
• Ability to independently perform coronary angiography and PCI.
• Experience in Interventional/Procedural Cardiology, temporary/permanent pacemaker implantation preferred.
• Strong clinical and procedural skills with sound decision-making.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide evaluation, diagnosis, and management of patients with cardiovascular diseases across OPD, IPD, emergency, and follow-up services.
• Independently perform coronary angiography and coronary angioplasty/PCI and other cardiac device procedures.
• Assess and manage patients undergoing interventional cardiac procedures and ensure pre-/post-procedure care.
• Manage acute cardiac emergencies including ACS, myocardial infarction, arrhythmias, and heart failure.
• Perform and interpret ECG, Echocardiography, TMT, Holter, and other cardiac diagnostics.
• Conduct regular rounds and develop individualized treatment and follow-up plans.
• Monitor patients during procedures and manage any complications.
• Coordinate with Emergency, ICU, Cardiac Surgery, Anaesthesia, and other teams.
• Educate patients and attendants about diagnosis, treatment options, risks, and post-procedure care.
• Maintain accurate records per hospital protocols and participate in audits.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and management of patients with cardiovascular diseases across OPD, IPD, emergency, and follow-up services.
• Independently perform and manage coronary angiography and coronary angioplasty/PCI, temporary and permanent pacemaker implantation and other cardiac device-related procedures as per clinical expertise and hospital facilities.
• Evaluate and manage patients requiring interventional cardiac procedures, including appropriate pre-procedure assessment and post-procedure care.
• Manage acute cardiac emergencies including Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS), myocardial infarction, arrhythmias, heart failure, and other critical cardiac conditions.
• Perform and interpret cardiac investigations including ECG, Echocardiography, TMT, Holter monitoring, and other relevant cardiac diagnostics.
• Conduct regular patient rounds and develop individualized treatment and follow-up plans.
• Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures and promptly identify and manage procedure-related complications.
• Coordinate with Emergency, ICU/Critical Care, Cardiac Surgery, Anaesthesia, and other specialties for comprehensive patient management.
• Counsel patients and attendants regarding diagnosis, treatment options, procedural requirements, risks, benefits, and post-procedure care.
• Maintain accurate clinical, procedural, and patient records in accordance with hospital protocols.
• Participate in cardiac emergency duties, clinical meetings, audits, quality-improvement initiatives, and departmental activities.
• Ensure adherence to patient safety, infection-control, clinical protocols, and ethical medical practices.
