Job summary

ERM in India (Consulting Delivery Hub, Delhi) seeks a Geology Consultant to deliver site investigations, groundwater assessments, remediation strategies and environmental consulting services. You will collaborate with global teams and contribute to complex projects, driving high-quality delivery across regions.

The role focuses on technical robustness, data-driven reports, and clear communication with clients, managers and colleagues, supporting sustainable site management practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree in hydrogeology, geology with groundwater focus.
• Experience in hydrogeology and groundwater modelling preferred.
• 4+ years consulting experience.
• Knowledge of remediation systems and project management.
• Familiarity with legislation on contaminated land.
• Ability to summarize data for investigation reports.
• Proficient MS Office and data presentation skills.
• Strong communication and QA/QC focus.

Responsibilities

• Perform report writing, data entry, borehole logs, data modelling and cost estimating.
• Ensure safety of team members during project operations.
• Assist in the management of projects.
• Produce environmental desk studies, site investigations and verification reports.
• Assist in fee proposals for future work.
• Coordinate with client representatives, subcontractors, and ERM staff.

As a Geology Consultant, you will support ERM's global Contaminated Site Management and Hydrogeology teams by delivering high-quality site investigation, groundwater assessment, remediation, and environmental consulting services. Working closely with ERM consultants, project managers, technical specialists, and client stakeholders across multiple regions, you will contribute to the successful delivery of complex environmental projects. This role plays a critical part in providing technically robust assessments, supporting sustainable remediation strategies, maintaining high standards of quality and safety, and enabling efficient global project delivery across ERM's environmental consulting portfolio.

What will you bring?

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree in hydrogeology, geology or a related discipline with a strong ground/groundwater contamination assessment and remediation focus.

• Experience in hydrogeology, and especially groundwater and contaminant transport modelling, would be an advantage, coupled with a strong desire to expand this area of expertise.

• 4 years + consulting experience.

• Knowledge/experience of remediation systems and techniques.

• Knowledge/experience of project management.

• Knowledge/experience of legislation, guidance and procedures with respect to the management of contaminated land.

• Ability to independently summarize data for investigation reports.

• Computer literacy, including proficient MS Office skills.

• Strong initiative (self-starter), problem-solving and communication skills, and attention to detail and QA/QC.

Preferred qualification

• Previous experience in supporting investigation, risk assessment, or environmental assessment work with exposure to fieldwork supervision in an Environmental or Water Consultancy is preferred.

• Perform assigned office duties, such as report writing, data entry, borehole logs, statistical analysis, data modelling, graphical presentation of data and field program cost estimating.
