Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform data intake, processing, extraction, conversion, transformation, analysis, loading, export and production support for eDiscovery and data investigation matters.
• Map, cleanse, normalize and reconcile metadata; resolve issues involving identifiers, document families, date/time values, character encoding and inconsistent source data.
• Prepare, validate and troubleshoot eDiscovery load files and related deliverables; perform quality-control checks for accuracy, completeness and integrity.
• Investigate processing exceptions and elevate risks or dependencies appropriately.
• Coordinate with case teams and stakeholders to clarify requirements, provide timely updates, manage deliverables and document procedures, scripts and resolutions.
• Identify opportunities to standardize or automate repetitive workflows and improve quality and efficiency.

About The Role

We are seeking a Consultant / Senior Consultant to join our Data Engineering team. The role supports eDiscovery and data investigation engagements through data processing, transformation, analysis, troubleshooting and production support. The successful candidate will apply strong SQL skills, working knowledge of eDiscovery workflows and practical scripting capabilities to deliver accurate, timely results in collaboration with local and global teams. Work flexibly across projects, shifting priorities and deadlines; participate in global team coverage and, when required, evening, night, weekend or holiday work based on project needs. Be willing to travel for client or business requirements, generally with advance notice. Maintain responsiveness, professionalism, confidentiality and a client-service mindset in interactions with internal and external stakeholders. Take ownership of assigned work, communicate progress and risks promptly, and learn new tools, data sources and processes as engagement needs evolve.

What You'll Do

Investigate processing exceptions and technical issues, recommend practical solutions and elevate risks or dependencies appropriately. Coordinate with case teams and stakeholders to clarify requirements, provide timely updates, manage assigned deliverables and document procedures, scripts and resolutions. Identify opportunities to standardize or automate repetitive workflows and improve quality and efficiency.

What You Will Need to Succeed

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant practical experience. Consultant: typically 2+ years of relevant experience in eDiscovery, data processing, data transformation or comparable technical data operations. Senior Consultant: typically 3-5+ years of relevant experience, including independent delivery of complex technical tasks, troubleshooting and coordination with project teams. Preferred, not mandatory: familiarity with EDRM; Nuix or other review/processing platforms; Microsoft 365, Teams, Slack, SharePoint, OneDrive, Google Workspace or mobile extraction data; large-volume SQL optimization; PowerShell, pandas/openpyxl, regular expressions or Relativity APIs; and consulting or litigation support experience. Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and a methodical approach to troubleshooting and quality control. Clear written and verbal communication, including the ability to explain technical findings to non-technical colleagues and stakeholders. Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks, follow documented processes, work independently within assigned scope and collaborate across teams. Initiative, adaptability and willingness to learn unfamiliar tools, workflows and digital data sources.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong working proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server / T-SQL for data manipulation, joins, complex queries, scripts, stored procedures and troubleshooting. Working knowledge of eDiscovery workflows and platforms such as Relativity, including imports/exports, metadata management, review support and productions. Ability to work with common eDiscovery load files (DAT, OPT, CSV) and structured or semi-structured formats such as Excel, JSON and XML. Basic Python scripting skills for file handling, ad-hoc data processing and automation; ability to adapt and troubleshoot existing scripts. Comfort with Microsoft Windows and Office tools, especially Excel, for day-to-day technical operations and validation.
