Inviting applications for the role of Consultant – API Testing & Cypress

Responsibilities

• Lead test automation initiatives across web applications and API layers using Cypress and tools like Postman, Rest Assured, or similar.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks for both UI and API testing.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and DevOps teams to define test strategies and ensure high-quality releases.
• Drive API testing efforts: validation of RESTful services, contract testing, data validation, and backend logic verification.
• Create and manage test cases, test data, and test documentation in alignment with project requirements.
• Implement and integrate test automation with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Troubleshoot automation issues and provide technical guidance to QA team members.
• Conduct code reviews and promote best practices for test automation and QA processes.
• Mentor and coach junior testers and automation engineers.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Valid years of experience in software testing, with experience in a lead QA/automation role.
• Strong experience in API testing using Postman, Swagger, Rest Assured, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with automation of end-to-end testing in modern web apps (React, Angular, etc.).
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, HTTP methods, and authentication methods (OAuth, JWT).
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with tools like JIRA, TestRail, or Zephyr.
• Hands-on experience with version control (Git), continuous integration (Jenkins, GitHub Actions), and Docker (optional but preferred).
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and drive resolution in a collaborative team environment.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Leadership experience, including leading teams, managing projects, and driving technical initiatives to successful completion.
• Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., ISTQB, Java certifications) are a plus.
