The Computer Operator is responsible for routine data entry, record-keeping, printing, and basic computer‑related support tasks for the school office. The role requires accuracy, familiarity with common software applications, and the ability to handle day‑to‑day administrative computer work reliably.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter, update, and maintain student and staff records in the school management software.
- Type, format, and print letters, circulars, notices, and other office documents as required.
- Operate office equipment such as printers, scanners, and photocopiers, and troubleshoot minor issues.
- Maintain and organize digital files and folders in an accessible and orderly manner.
- Prepare basic reports, spreadsheets, and lists as directed by the administration.
- Assist in issuing and updating ID cards and other basic administrative documentation.
- Take regular backups of important data as instructed.
- Support day‑to‑day office tasks involving computer use, including photocopying, scanning, and filing.
- Report any system or equipment issues to the IT staff or management promptly.
- Maintain confidentiality of student, staff, and school data at all times.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 12th pass / Diploma; a Bachelor's degree is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Basic computer knowledge — MS Office (Word, Excel), email, and internet use.
- Good typing speed and accuracy.
- Basic understanding of printers, scanners, and general office equipment.
- Prior experience in a school or office environment is preferred but not required.
