ROLE SUMMARY

The Compliance and Process Manager will oversee and ensure adherence to regulatory, industry, and internal standards for data center operations across the APAC region. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring compliance programs, policies, and processes to ensure operational excellence, risk mitigation, and alignment with global and regional standards. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive process optimization, maintain audit readiness, and uphold the highest standards of safety, security, and efficiency in data centre operations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process Optimization: Design, document, and implement standardized processes for datacenter operations, including incident management, change management, and operational workflows.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to streamline operations and reduce operational risks.
  • Policy Development and Training: Develop and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and guidelines specific to APAC datacenter operations.
  • Train staff on compliance with requirements, safety protocols, and operational best practices.
  • Foster a culture of compliance and accountability across the organization.
  • Risk & Control Management: Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to security, availability, and data integrity.
  • Strong understanding of IT General Controls (ITGC), access controls, and change management.
  • Experience in developing and enforcing policies (security, incident response, BCP/DR).
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with legal, IT, security, and facility management teams to align compliance and process initiatives.
  • Liaise with regional regulators, auditors, and third-party vendors to ensure adherence to standards.
  • Collaborate with global compliance teams to ensure consistency with corporate policies.
  • Reporting and Monitoring: Develop and maintain compliance dashboards and KPIs to track adherence and performance metrics.
  • Provide regular reports to senior management on compliance status, risks, and process improvements.
  • Monitor and report on environmental, health, and safety (EHS) compliance in datacenter facilities.
  • Incident and Risk Management: Lead investigations into compliance breaches or process failures, implementing corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans for datacenter operations.
  • Ensure proactive risk management to minimize disruptions to operations.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., CISA, CRISC, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor) preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, or process management in datacenter, IT, or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of APAC regulatory frameworks (e.g., data privacy, cybersecurity, environmental regulations).
  • Proven experience in process design, optimization, and implementation in complex operational environments.
  • Familiarity with datacenter standards (e.g., Uptime Institute, TIA-942, ISO 27001).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with fluency in English. Proficiency in an additional APAC language (e.g., Mandarin, Japanese) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with compliance auditing and reporting tools.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
