Job summary

Apollo Global Management is seeking a Compensation Analyst for Equity Businesses to support global compensation strategy, analytics, and reporting across equity lines. The role collaborates with the Principal and Associate to drive year-end processes and delivery of compensation insights to stakeholders.

The position requires 2+ years in compensation, strong Excel skills (including macros), and a proactive, detail-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in compensation, strategy, and/or data analytics.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Compensation team with compensation design, analysis, comp expense budgeting/forecasting, and the implementation of new or revised compensation programs (including carried interest plans)
• Provides support and insight into offer letters, separations, promotions, and internal mobility
• Engaged in the year-end annual compensation process with preparation of the compensation system, bonus pool analysis, production of compensation templates for managers, compensation statements for employees, and enhancements of related year-end processes
• Monitors market trends and continuously evaluate market competitiveness of compensation structures including owning the Equity team’s market data matching and data submission.
• Improves current state of function through automation and repeatable report creation for respective businesses.
• Identify areas for efficiency improvement using AI and execute development of solutions.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Analyst, Compensation – Equity Businesses role for Apollo Global Management will support Apollo’s Equity businesses in all areas of compensation. This includes but not limited to strategy and design, analysis. administration, and execution and delivery of ad hoc compensation reporting needs for all Equity strategies globally. In addition, this role will work closely with the Principal and Associate supporting the Equity businesses to drive a successful year-end compensation process across all stakeholder groups. This role may be partnered with members of the broader Human Capital team including Human Capital Business Partners, Benefits, HC Operations, Payroll, BP&A, Comp Finance, Carry/Co, Legal, as well as business leaders across the firm. This position will report to the Principal, Compensation for Equity businesses.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Qualifications & Experience

• 2+ years of experience – mix of compensation, strategy, and/or data analytics background
• Experience in data handling, reporting and excellent knowledge of Excel including macro building
• Superior communication and listening skillset.
• Ability to independently take on multiple tasks with high degree of attention to detail.
• Proactive “go-getter” that offers suggestions for improvement and actively pushes Compensation function forward in both efficiency and effectiveness.
• Experience in designing and administering compensation structures, processes, policies.
• Strong understanding of year-end compensation process.
• Candidates must have an analytical, logical thought process for developing solutions.
• Strong financial accounting acumen (e.g., GAAP) a plus.
• Understanding of carried interest and co-investment programs a plus.
