Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Company Accountant to manage our daily financial operations and ensure full statutory compliance. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Tally and possess a strong grasp of Indian taxation and payroll processes.

Core Responsibilities

1. Financial Accounting & Reporting

• Bookkeeping: Execute all data entry for daily accounting transactions.
• Invoicing: Manage the end-to-end invoicing process using Tally.
• Financial Statements: Prepare and present monthly Profit & Loss (P&L) accounts and Balance Sheets to management.
• Audit Coordination: Liaise with statutory auditors periodic to a smooth account finalization.

2. Taxation & Statutory Compliance

• GST Management: Calculate monthly GST liability (Output vs. Input Tax Credit), ensure payment, and file returns by the 20th of every month.
• TDS Compliance: Handle TDS deductions on payments, seek timely deposit to the government, and file quarterly TDS returns.
• Govt Compliance: Manage monthly payments for ESIC and Professional Tax (PT).

3. Operational Management

• Receivables & Payables: Monitor outstanding bills and follow up on pending payments.
• Payroll: Oversee the preparation and processing of monthly employee payroll.
• Contract Monitoring: Track and manage company maintenance contracts to ensure timely renewals and adherence to terms.

Key Qualifications

• Software Proficiency: Good knowledge of Tally, MS Excel, Windows OS, MS Office
• Experience: Proven track record in handling GST, TDS, and statutory filings.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles, ITC reconciliation, and finalization of accounts.
• Attributes: High level of accuracy, ability to meet strict government deadlines, and strong communication skills for auditor coordination.
