IPE Global’s Social and Economic Empowerment practice works towardsbuilding girl capital, empowering women and nurturing resilient communitiesby creating inclusive and sustainable solutions, including but not limited topolicy development, capacity building, adaptive management, communitymobilisation, behaviour change communication, deepening social safety nets,beneficiary feedback analysis, poverty assessment, and evidence-basedmonitoring.
To build its portfolio of work in the girl capital domain at the statelevel, IPE Global is hiring a Campaign and Communications Expert to design and lead a dynamic state-level campaign toincrease female participation in paid jobs. The expert will drive strategiccommunications that challenge gender norms, inspire action, and strengthenthe visibility of women’s economic contributions.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadthe design and delivery of comprehensive state-level campaigns to promoteyoung women’s participation in the workforce, addressing social norms,building awareness of aspirational job roles, and associated skilling opportunitiesavailable to them.
- Createcustomisable templates for adoption at the district level, ensuring consistentbranding and messaging across all platforms and materials.
- Createcompelling and emotionally resonant campaign narratives to promote women’sparticipation in skilling and jobs in collaboration with various departments.
- Collaboratewith government stakeholders, implementation partners, and the national team toensure campaigns align with project goals and resonate with diverseaudiences.
- Buildpartnerships with influencers, media outlets, and other collaborators tobuild public support and maximise outreach for the campaigns.
- Organisestate-wide events to launch campaigns.
- Conductand monitor post-campaign evaluations, including data analysis, stakeholderfeedback, and impact assessment reports, to identify areas of improvement,trends, gaps, and opportunities.
- As job descriptions cannot be exhaustive, t he specialist may be required to undertake other duties that arebroadly in line with the above key responsibilities, as determined by the seniorleadership.
EducationalBackground
Master’s degree or higher in C ommunications, Marketing, Public Relations, Public Policy, Development Studies, or a related field.
WorkExperience:
- At least 10 years of progressiveexperience in strategic communications, public campaigns, or advocacy,ideally with a gender equity or development focus.
- Proven expertise in leading multimediacampaigns that drive social and behaviour change, particularly in complexcultural contexts.
- Strong experience in building coalitions with governmentstakeholders, community-based organizations, and private partners.
TechnicalExpertise:
- Excellentcommunication and storytelling skills to design persuasive campaigns incollaboration with diverse stakeholders, including government, industry, andNGOs.
- Deepunderstanding of power dynamics and gender norms that impact female labourforce participation in India.
- Demonstratedability to translate research and evidence into powerful, action-orientedmessages.
