Job Description : Commissioning Manager
Location : Panipat
Role Overview
The Commissioning Manager will oversee installation, testing, start-up, and commissioning of WTP, ETP, STP, and ZLD systems, ensuring compliance with design specifications and successful performance before client handover.
Required
- 12-15 years in commissioning WTP/ETP/STP/ZLD and utility systems (Fire Fighting, PSA Nitrogen, HVAC, Compressors, Pumps).
- Strong exposure to plant start-up, troubleshooting, and performance testing.
- Ability to handle 2-3 projects simultaneously.
- Mandatory Experience: Commissioned at least one WTP/ETP/ZLD project in Oil & Gas.
- Strong knowledge of UF, NF, RO, pre-treatment, DM Plant, and dosing calculations (jar tests).
Key Responsibilities
- Review plans, drawings, P&IDs; perform P&ID markups, loop marking, walk-downs, and punch lists.
- Coordinate with engineering, construction, QA/QC, and erection teams.
- Prepare deployment schedules and pre-commissioning procedures.
- Execute commissioning of WTP/ETP/STP/ZLD systems.
- Set up pumps, membranes, filters, dosing systems; manage start-up and stabilization.
- Calibrate equipment and verify PLC/SCADA controls.
- Commission vendor packages; conduct stabilization runs and PG Tests.
- Monitor system performance, conduct flow/pressure/dosing/water quality tests.
- Troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare commissioning reports, test certificates, SOPs, and manuals. Train client plant operators; ensure smooth project handover.
- Ensure adherence to HSE standards and environmental regulations.
- Strong knowledge of water treatment processes (physical/chemical/biological).
- Expertise in pumps, valves, membranes, dosing systems, electrical & instrumentation.
- PLC/SCADA proficiency.
- Strong communication, leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
