The Commissioning Engineer provides highly technical support to an international client base. The Commissioning Engineer primarily executes customer requests for installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup, performance testing, troubleshooting and customer training for cryogenic pumps & skids, LNG systems, and industrial gas equipment. The role requires extensive domestic travel, strong mechanical and controls troubleshooting skills and the ability to lead startup activities safely while ensuring customer satisfaction and project success.
The Commissioning Engineer shall be responsible for commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and startup of cryogenic pump packages, LNG application products, VFD panels, PLC-based control systems, and electrical equipment. The role includes site commissioning, customer support, FAT/SAT, electrical schematic verification, PLC/VFD communication testing, and coordination with the project teams.

The role is authorized to lead the testing, commissioning and warranty handover meetings, review and resolve technical specifications, coordinate technical information, schedule and monitor program activities, and ensure on-time and in-budget results. It includes coordinating complete FAT, SAT and within warranty repair/trouble shooting activities for potential failures. The role also involves evaluating IMS performance, ensuring accurate commissioning charges, mentoring engineering associates, supervising commissioning activities, coordinating pricing and technical specifications, preparing reports, managing project progress and client billings. Additionally, the role assists in client communication, cost estimation, and environmental impact studies, while receiving guidance on complex problems and work plans.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the departmen.
Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree or Equivalent in electrical engineering/Mechatronics engineering or Equivalent.
• Around 5 years of relevant experience in electrical commissioning.
• Experience in pump packages, VFDs, cryogenic systems, PLC communication, and electrical panels is mandatory.
• Willingness to travel extensively for commissioning activities.
• Ability to read P&IDs and electrical drawings

Overtime may be necessary as the work load's dictates. This may include weekdays, weekends, nights and/or holidays, travel required up to 80% and Emergency call-out expectations.
Job will generally be performed in an office/shop environment and generally requires travel to a client’s office, production facility or industrial/construction job site. Conditions will vary at each location, but the conditions listed above will generally apply.
In addition to the above stated roles and responsibilities, you shall be responsible for ensuring awareness, understanding, and application of Ex-products within the scope of the project & commissioning and must possess the necessary knowledge to verify compliance with relevant IECEx standards.
