Job summary

Paytm Payments Services is seeking an experienced sales professional and people manager for its QR & Sound Box vertical in India. The role focuses on expanding distribution, driving merchant adoption, and building a high-performing sales team across the assigned area.

Ideal candidates have 8–12 years in sales/BD, preferably in B2C or payments, with strong leadership, negotiation skills, and a track record of quota attainment. MBA Marketing is preferred; travel across the region is expected.

Qualifications

• MBA in Marketing or equivalent with 8–12 years of sales/BD experience.
• Strong networking capabilities and willingness to travel extensively.
• Experience in coaching and mentoring sales teams.
• Quota-driven sales experience with strong negotiation skills.
• Experience in payments/finance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Grow distribution and market share in the assigned area.
• Ensure visibility through QR & Sound Box deployment and sales.
• Identify and recruit the sales team for the market.
• Plan market size, span and geographies for ASMs.
• Communicate plans/targets to the team to minimize gaps.
• Monitor quality parameters per management guidance.
• Validate and audit acquisitions and sales by the team.

About the Role: Paytm is looking for an experienced sales professional & people manager to be a part of the QR & Sound Box vertical.

Expectations/ Requirements:

1. Growth of distribution and market share in the assigned area of operations.

2. Visibility & accountability through extensive QR & Sound box deployment and sale of the product

3. I dentify and recruit the sales team to align and drive business in the Market

4. Plan the market size, span and geographies for ASMs .

5. Devise best methods for communication of plans/targets to the team so as to minimize the expectations vs delivery gap.

6. Monitor the quality parameters as suggested by the Management

7. Validate and conduct audits on the acquisitions and sales done by the team.

Must Have: Should have good networking capabilities and be willing to travel extensively throughout their specified area. Skilled in coaching and mentoring, a quick learner who grasps and puts into application the new learnt ideas and concepts.

Superpowers/ Skills that will help you succeed in this role :

1. Self-starters, who can take ownership and are comfortable navigating ambiguity, will be an ideal fit. 8-12 years experience in sales - business development, B2C markets

2. Passionate about working in a fast growing firms and large team handling.

3. Articulate complex solutions to novice customers.

4. Good sales and negotiation skills. Experience in quota driven sales is a must.

5. Experience in payments and finance is a plus - though not mandatory
