Job summary

Paytm is seeking an experienced sales professional and people manager to lead the QR & Sound Box vertical in India. You will drive merchant acquisition, retention and growth, building a high-performing field team across the assigned area.

The role requires extensive travel, coaching skills, and the ability to convey complex solutions to diverse customers. 8–12 years in sales with quota-driven experience is expected; payments knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• MBA in Marketing or equivalent with leadership in sales.
• Willingness to travel extensively across the specified area.
• Experience in B2C sales; payments/finance knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Grow distribution and market share in the assigned area.
• Increase visibility via QR & Sound Box deployment and sales.
• Identify and recruit the sales team for the market.
• Plan market size, span and geographies for ASMs.
• Communicate plans and targets to the team to minimize gaps.
• Monitor quality parameters per management guidelines.
• Validate and audit acquisitions and sales by the team.

About the Role:

Paytm is looking for an experienced sales professional & people manager to be a part of the QR & Sound Box vertical.

Expectations/ Requirements:

• Growth of distribution and market share in the assigned area of operations.
• Visibility & accountability through extensive QR & Sound box deployment and sale of the product.
• Identify and recruit the sales team to align and drive business in the Market.
• Plan the market size, span and geographies for ASMs.
• Devise best methods for communication of plans/targets to the team so as to minimize the expectations vs delivery gap.
• Monitor the quality parameters as suggested by the Management.
• Validate and conduct audits on the acquisitions and sales done by the team.

Must Have:

Should have good networking capabilities and be willing to travel extensively throughout their specified area. Skilled in coaching and mentoring, a quick learner who grasps and puts into application the new learnt ideas and concepts.

Superpowers/ Skills that will help you succeed in this role:

• 1. Self-starters, who can take ownership and are comfortable navigating ambiguity, will be an ideal fit. 8-12 years' experience in sales - business development, B2C markets
• 2. Passionate about working in a fast-growing firms and large team handling.
• 3. Articulate complex solutions to novice customers.
• 4. Good sales and negotiation skills. Experience in quota driven sales is a must.
• 5. Experience in payments and finance is a plus - though not mandatory
