Job summary

Hitachi is hiring for an Azure Cloud Engineer to maintain and enhance our cloud infrastructure. You will manage VMs, AD, storage, networking, and containerized workloads in AKS, with a focus on reliability and security.

Join a global team and contribute to DR/backup strategies, automation pipelines, and 24x7 on-call support to ensure seamless services for customers leveraging data-driven solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience configuring and maintaining Azure cloud infrastructure (VMs, AD, storage, networking).
• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with backup/DR in Azure.
• Proficient in automation using Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of security practices incl. ISO-27001 and PCI-DSS.

Job description

• Maintain Azure cloud infrastructure having Virtual Machines, Active Directory, Storage and Networking, Logic Apps etc.
• Design and implement backup and disaster recovery solutions in Azure.
• Should have strong Linux Administration with troubleshooting.
• Define and Maintain Monitoring & Alerting criteria, provide support for testing activities with cloud-based resources.
• Automate cloud-based deployments using Azure DevOps.
• Deploy and Maintain Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Monitor and troubleshoot cloud-based applications and services.
• Implement security best practices for cloud-based applications and services.
• Maintain container monitoring tools like Datadog, Prometheus and Grafana etc.
• Maintain and troubleshoot Versioning tools like GIT and CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
• Responsible to migrate on-prem workloads to Cloud.
• Maintain and troubleshoot containerization applications deployed in Docker and Kubernetes.
• Maintain container image registries like Harbor/Jfrog etc.
• Maintain configuration management tools like Ansible, Ansible Tower / Rundeck etc.
• Maintaining and configuring Apache & Nginx web servers with Load Balancer and Reverse Proxy is a plus.
• Perform OS/Network and monitoring applications implementation.
• Maintain systems security and compliance with ISO-27001 and PCI-DSS.
• Provide ongoing technical support, problem investigation and resolution for OS, Network, Monitoring tools on 24x7 on-call basis.
• Responsible for vendor escalation.
• Develop/maintain system implementation documents, knowledge base, service reports and operational procedures.
• Assist with identification of implementation risks and with development of mitigation or avoidance plans.
• Strong written and spoken English language skills.
