Good co India is seeking a senior cloud architect to design and lead secure, scalable cloud architectures across AWS, Azure, and GCP. You will translate business requirements into practical cloud solutions and roadmaps, and mentor engineering teams.

The role covers governance, IaC with Terraform or CloudFormation, multi-cloud strategy, migration, security, cost optimization, and robust monitoring. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 5 to 10 years of cloud computing/infrastructure/DevOps/solutions architecture experience.
• Proven enterprise-scale cloud design and implementation track record.
• Hands-on expertise in at least one major cloud platform with knowledge of others.

Role & responsibilities

• Design and lead secure, scalable, highly available, and cost-effective cloud architectures across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Translate business requirements and technical objectives into robust cloud solutions and architecture roadmaps.
• Develop cloud architecture standards, reference architectures, design principles, and governance frameworks.
• Design cloud-native, hybrid-cloud, multi-cloud, microservices, serverless, and distributed system architectures.
• Lead cloud migration, modernization, transformation, and workload optimization initiatives.
• Design cloud networking solutions including VPC/VNet, subnets, routing, VPN, DNS, load balancing, and connectivity.
• Implement cloud security architectures covering IAM, encryption, secrets management, network security, Zero Trust, and compliance.
• Design high-availability, fault-tolerant, scalable, backup, and disaster-recovery solutions.
• Establish Infrastructure as Code and automation practices using Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM/Bicep, or equivalent tools.
• Define and improve CI/CD, DevOps, containerization, Kubernetes, and deployment strategies.
• Drive cloud monitoring, observability, performance optimization, capacity planning, and operational excellence.
• Optimize cloud infrastructure and workloads for cost, performance, reliability, and resource utilization.
• Conduct architecture reviews, security assessments, technology evaluations, and cloud readiness assessments.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, DevOps, security, data, networking, and business teams.
• Evaluate emerging cloud services and technologies and recommend solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Create and maintain architecture diagrams, technical documentation, standards, and implementation guidelines.
• Mentor cloud engineers, DevOps teams, and developers and provide technical leadership across cloud initiatives.

Preferred candidate profile

• 5 to 10 years of experience in cloud computing, infrastructure engineering, software engineering, DevOps, or solutions architecture.
• Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale cloud solutions.
• Strong hands-on expertise in at least one major cloud platformAWS, Azure, or GCPwith working knowledge of other cloud platforms.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native architecture, distributed systems, microservices, serverless computing, and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with cloud migration strategies, application modernization, workload assessment, and hybrid/multi-cloud environments.
• Strong knowledge of cloud networking, including VPC/VNet, routing, VPN, DNS, firewalls, load balancers, and private connectivity.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, IAM, encryption, key management, secrets management, Zero Trust, and compliance.
• Experience designing highly available, scalable, fault-tolerant, and disaster-resilient cloud solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM/Bicep, or other Infrastructure as Code technologies.
• Strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps practices.
• Experience with cloud monitoring and observability tools such as CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Google Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus, Grafana, or equivalent platforms.
• Strong understanding of cloud cost management, performance optimization, capacity planning, and FinOps principles.
• Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar.
• Experience with databases, storage, messaging, caching, APIs, and integration technologies.
• Strong architecture, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to lead cross-functional technical initiatives and mentor engineering and cloud teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree is an advantage.
• Relevant certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, CKA, or TOGAF are preferred.
