Job summary

Purview Services is seeking a Cloud Security Specialist (Azure) to secure Azure environments by applying security-by-design principles and enforcing enterprise and regulatory controls. The role focuses on designing secure architectures, implementing IAM (Entra ID, RBAC, PIM, MFA), and monitoring threats with Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, and Azure Monitor.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in cloud security, governance, and incident response, with certifications such as Azure

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or related field.
• Azure Security Engineer certification or equivalent.
• Experience designing cloud security architectures for Azure.
• Experience with IAM, RBAC, PIM, MFA and security monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Design and govern Azure cloud security architecture aligned to standards.

• Enforce network security (encryption, key management, secrets).

Job description

Role Purpose

The Cloud Security Specialist (Azure) is responsible for securing companys Microsoft Azure environments by implementing security-by-design principles, enforcing cloud security controls, and ensuring compliance with enterprise and GxP regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and govern Azure cloud security architecture aligned to standards
• Implement identity and access management (Entra ID, RBAC, PIM, MFA)
• Enforce network security (encryption, key management, secrets)
• Monitor threats using Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, and Azure Monitor
• Lead cloud security incident response and remediation

Good-to-Have

• Exposure to Terraform, DevSecOps and automation
• Azure Landing Zones and Zero Trust architecture
• Microsoft security certifications (Azure Security Engineer, CISSP, ISO 27001)
• Prior experience with regulated enterprise clients

Engagement Model

Acts as Azure Cloud Security authority and collaborates with Security, Cloud, Quality teams, Wipro delivery teams, and Microsoft, supporting the full lifecycle from design to steady-state operations.
