The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure and architecture, coupled with expertise in deploying, managing, and optimizing AWS services. As a Cloud Platform Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud-based solutions to meet the evolving needs of the organization and clients.
Responsibilities
- Using a broad range of AWS services (VPC, EC2, RDS, ELB, S3, AWS CLI, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, AWS Config, Kinesis, Route 53, DynamoDB, and SNS) to develop and maintain an AWS-based cloud solution. Implement IAM controls to manage user and system access securely.

- Monitoring cloud environments for suspicious activities and threats using SIEM systems. Implementing security governance policies and maintaining audit logs for regulatory requirements.
- Automating cloud security processes using CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible. Implementing infrastructure as code (IaC) to ensure secure deployment and configuration. Building custom Terraform modules to provision cloud infrastructure and maintain them for enhancements with the latest versions.
- Collaborating with DevOps, network, and software development teams to promote secure cloud practices and training employees about cloud security best practices.
- Securing and encrypting data by providing secret management solutions with versioning enabled.
- Building backup solutions to minimize downtime and maintaining disaster recovery environments, including implementing Disaster Recovery strategies.
- Designing and delivering scalable, highly available cloud migration solutions with launch configurations, Auto Scaling groups, scaling policies, CloudWatch alarms, load balancers, and Route 53; enabling additional security for cloud root accounts.
- Working with data-migration teams to move data from on-premises data centers to cloud storage within an isolated environment.
- Working with source code management pipelines and debugging issues caused by failed IT deployments.
- Remediating findings from cybersecurity tools for Cloud-Native Application Security and implementing resource tagging strategies to enforce compliance standards.
- Experience performing AWS operations in areas such as threat prevention, cloud-specific technologies, Control Tower and Service Control Policies, AWS Security tools (IAM, Detective, Inspector, Security Hub, etc.), identity and least privilege, networking in AWS IaaS, and ITSM processes.

- In-depth knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Lambda, ECS, and others.
- Proficiency in scripting/programming languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and compliance standards in cloud environments.
- Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless computing.
