Job summary

Infosys is seeking to reinforce its Cloud Infrastructure Services team in Hyderabad with a skilled platform engineer. You design and operate cloud platform capabilities, manage Kubernetes clusters, and ensure reliability and security across environments.

You will deploy and tune Redis, automate provisioning, and enhance observability with metrics, logs, and alerts. Collaboration with engineering teams improves onboarding and developer experience on the platform.

Qualifications

• MCA, MTech, BE/BTech or BCA with relevant cloud platform experience.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience with cloud databases and caching systems like Azure Cache for Redis.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate cloud platform capabilities supporting production workloads across environments.
• Administer and optimize Kubernetes clusters, including upgrades, scaling, capacity planning, and workload scheduling.
• Implement and maintain platform reliability practices: health checks, autoscaling, backup/restore, and disaster recovery readiness.
• Deploy, manage, and tune Redis for performance, availability, and data durability; establish best practices for caching patterns and usage.
• Create automation for provisioning and lifecycle management of platform components using repeatable, version-controlled approaches.
• Improve observability by defining metrics, logs, and alerts for Kubernetes and data services; drive incident response and post-incident improvements.
• Partner with engineering teams to onboard services to the platform, troubleshoot runtime issues, and improve developer experience.
• Ensure platform security hygiene through access controls, secrets management practices, and secure configuration standards.
