Job summary

Alight Solutions is seeking an experienced Windows/Linux systems administrator with 2–5 years of hands-on cloud and on-premises experience. You will manage AWS/Azure cloud environments, Red Hat servers, and automation using Ansible, Python, Shell, and PowerShell.

The role requires strong problem solving, teamwork, and a customer-focused mindset in a dynamic, flexible work setting. You will contribute to 24/7 operations, security, and resilience of our cloud and hybrid infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of AWS Cloud / Windows / Linux system administration experience.
• Red Hat knowledge and practical administration experience.
• Experience with cloud technologies (AWS and Azure).
• Experience managing cloud infrastructure services and multiple cloud servers.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical support for Windows/Linux environments in 24/7 operations.
• Decompose complex problems to ensure timely resolution of system anomalies.
• Manage performance and capacity of the server environment.
• Design and execute disaster recovery plans.
• Backup and recovery of the server environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide hands on technical support related to the overall health and maintenance of the Windows / Linux operating environments in support of 24/7 operations


• Ability to decompose complex problems to ensure timely and accurate resolution of system anomalies before they impact operations.


• Performance and capacity management of the server environment


• Design and execute disaster recovery plans


• Backup and recovery of the server environment

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience


• 2-5 years in AWS Cloud / Windows / Linux System administration experience


• RedHat practical and proven experience.


• Good Knowledge of Cloud Technologies i.e, AWS and Azure.


• Experience in managing the instances of the cloud infrastructure services and the multiple cloud servers.


• Experience in managing the instances of the cloud infrastructure services and the multiple cloud servers.


• Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible)


• Scripting or programming experience (Python, Shell Scripting, …)


• Be accountable, take ownership and strong focus on customer satisfaction


• Ability to work well on a team as well as individually (be a team player!)


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills


• Ability to work under pressure


• Ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently


• Scripting or programming experience (PowerShell)


• ITIL Foundation V3 certified is an asset


• Experience on Configuration /management of Elastic Load Balancers, auto-scaling, Virtual Private Cloud, Routing, cloud database, IAM, ACM and SSM.


• Should have knowledge of Virtualization administration/configuration including HA/DR


• Experience in managing the instances of the cloud infrastructure services and the multiple cloud servers.
