Job summary

JioStar is seeking a Cloud/Infrastructure Security Engineer to design, implement and maintain secure cloud and infrastructure solutions for a large-scale streaming ecosystem. You will collaborate with engineering, operations, and security teams to enforce robust security across platforms.

Role requires hands-on cloud security, IaC, and DevSecOps expertise, with a focus on automation, secure design, and audit readiness in a fast-paced OTT environment.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years in security engineering or cloud security.
• Bachelor’s in CS/Info Security; Master’s preferred.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, and Azure security.
• Experience integrating security into CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001 and SOC 2 audits is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement security configurations across public clouds (IAM, security groups, WAFs).
• Harden containerized environments (Kubernetes, Docker) and secure VMs/OS.
• Define and maintain baseline security standards for apps, servers, and networks.
• Conduct cloud security reviews and coordinate remediation plans.
• Integrate security checks into CI/CD using SAST/DAST/SCA.
• Write automation scripts (Python, Bash) and IaC templates (Terraform/CloudFormation).
• Set up and tune monitoring/logging with CloudTrail, GuardDuty, SIEM.
• Support audits and compliance documentation (ISO 27001, SOC 2).
• Collaborate with Engineering/DevOps on secure design for OTT platforms.

As a Cloud/Infrastructure Security Engineer at JioStar, you will design, implement, and maintain secure cloud and infrastructure solutions to safeguard our large-scale, cloud-native streaming ecosystem. This role requires strong expertise in cloud security, DevSecOps practices, and the ability to collaborate across engineering, operations, and security teams to ensure robust security across all layers of our platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the design and implementation of security configurations across public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), including IAM, security groups, WAFs, and other built-in security services
• Contribute to securing hybrid infrastructure environments by following best practices around network segmentation, access control, and encryption
• Help harden containerized environments (Kubernetes, Docker) and ensure secure configurations of virtual machines and operating systems
• Participate in defining and maintaining baseline security standards for applications, servers, and networks
• Assist in conducting regular cloud security reviews, identifying misconfigurations or vulnerabilities, and collaborating on remediation plans
• Integrate security checks into CI/CD workflows using tools for static and dynamic analysis (SAST, DAST) and dependency scanning (SCA)
• Write automation scripts (Python, Bash) to streamline security operations and contribute to Infrastructure as Code templates using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
• Set up and fine-tune monitoring and logging for cloud environments using tools like CloudTrail, GuardDuty, and centralized SIEM platforms
• Support the incident response team by gathering logs, performing initial triage, and contributing to investigations and reporting
• Help prepare documentation and evidence for audits and compliance activities under standards like ISO 27001 and SOC 2
• Collaborate with engineering and DevOps teams to promote secure design principles during feature development, especially for large-scale OTT platforms handling sensitive user and content data
• Stay updated on emerging security threats and trends in the media streaming space, and help implement controls tailored to OTT infrastructure challenges (e.g., CDN security, content DRM, platform abuse)

Skills and attributes for success

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and cloud-native security tools
• Proficiency in infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.) and automation for security deployments
• Experience with SIEM, vulnerability management, and incident response tools
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks and best practices
• Strong scripting/programming skills (Python, Shell, etc.) for task automation and tool building
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills

Preferred Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related technical field; a Master’s degree is a plus
• 3–6 years of experience in security engineering, cloud security, or a related infrastructure security role, preferably within fast-paced or media/OTT environments
