Job summary

Albemarle Corporation seeks a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer for a hybrid role in Bangalore, India. You will design and manage Azure IaaS/PaaS, use Terraform for IaC, and run deployments through Azure DevOps pipelines.

You will help enforce security, governance, and cost controls while supporting incident response and RCA. Strong Azure hands-on experience, Windows Server, PowerShell, and collaboration with IT security teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in infrastructure engineering, systems admin, or cloud infra operations.
• 3+ years hands-on Azure administration in enterprise/hybrid cloud.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience deploying/managing Azure IaaS and PaaS services.
• Hands-on IaC with Terraform and pipelines with Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Windows Server, PowerShell, incident response, and RCA.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Microsoft Azure cloud concepts (IaaS/PaaS) and IaC using Terraform.
• Deploy/manage Azure resources via Azure DevOps pipelines and IaC tooling.
• Build policies for cloud deployments and governance.
• Support cloud cost management and capacity planning.
• Develop/maintain SOC, incident response procedures for cloud.
• Collaborate with IT security to monitor threats and log reviews.
• Provide RCA support for network/infrastructure incidents.
• Integrate monitoring/security tools (SolarWinds, SIEM, SOAR) with cloud.
• Assist in hybrid cloud connectivity and resource optimization.
• Document standard operating procedures to streamline IT processes.

Job Description

Albemarle is hiring for a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer . This position is hybrid and located in Bangalore, India .

What You Will Do

• Continually assist with the baseline design and implementation of Microsoft Azure Cloud technologies and concepts to include IaaS, PaaS, Terraform, Azure DevOps and Azure policies.
• Deploy/Manage Azure resources using Infra as Code (Terraform) and Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Recommend and build policies for cloud deployments such as location, device based, capacity sizing, governance, or other criteria
• Help determine tools, tactics, and procedures for cloud management and monitoring tools
• Recommend and implement cloud computing environment resource cost management based on capacity management
• Recommend and implement standards that ensure adherence to security policies and procedures
• Assist in building incident response procedures for cloud environment
• Research and investigate cyber threats and security incidents in conjunction with the IT Security team
• Evaluate and recommend cloud infrastructure resources based on IT project requirements
• Develop and support standard operating procedures to simplify and streamline IT processes
• Provide support to assist with connecting monitoring and security tools (SolarWinds/SIEM/SOAR) with cloud environment
• Understand network cloud connectivity in a hybrid cloud environment
• Assist the Information Security team in monitoring security systems, reviewing logs, and managing information security systems
• Identify, analyze, and report resource constraints within the cloud environment, using information collected from a variety of sources, to maintain cloud service operations
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, investigate, and resolve network and infrastructure issues and incidents; Provide Root Cause Analysis support.

What You Bring

Required

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, systems administration, or cloud infrastructure operations.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience administering Microsoft Azure in an enterprise or hybrid cloud environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts and build effective partnerships across technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Proven experience deploying and managing Azure IaaS and PaaS services, including virtual machines, storage, networking, identity, monitoring, and governance.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and automated deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Windows Server administration, PowerShell or equivalent scripting, incident response, root cause analysis, and operational documentation.

Preferred

• Microsoft Azure certification such as Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) is preferred.
• Additional certifications in Azure architecture, security, networking, or Terraform are desirable.
• Experience supporting globally distributed environments and collaborating with Network, Infrastructure, Information Security, and application teams is preferred.
