Job summary

Thinkproject is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure & Agentic Architect (f/m/d) to own the technical foundation of our cloud platform in Pune. You will design blueprints, establish observability standards, and bring hands-on LLM-driven tooling to the team shaping the next generation of cloud operations.

You will report to the Cloud Architect Manager and work at the intersection of platform engineering and technology strategy with high ownership and short iteration cycles.

Qualifications

• Experience operating multi-cloud Kubernetes environments in production.
• Hands-on experience with LLM-driven tooling in real engineering workflows.
• Strong IaC experience with Terraform.
• Kubernetes at scale on AKS and GKE.
• Experience with Vertex AI, Azure AI Foundry or similar cloud model gardens.

Responsibilities

• Define cloud architectural blueprints across networking, compute, storage and data layers.
• Design event-driven pipelines for AI-assisted validation and deployment gates.
• Serve as technical authority on platform design decisions within your domain.
• Implement LLM-based automated deployment capabilities and AI-assisted tooling.

What your day will look like

About the Role
We are looking for a Cloud Infrastructure & Agentic Architect (f/m/d) to own the technical foundation of our cloud platform. You will maintain our service catalog, design architectural blueprints, establish the observability standard, and — most distinctively — bring hands-on LLM-driven tooling skills to a team actively shaping what the next generation of cloud operations looks like.

This is a senior individual-contributor role reporting to the Cloud Architect Manager (who reports to the CIO), with direct CIO-adjacent visibility. You will sit at the intersection of platform engineering and technology strategy, contributing to platform roadmap decisions — not just executing them. The team is small, ownership is total, and iteration cycles are short. You will be expected to resolve ambiguity, align expectations, and establish technical clarity across a diverse group of stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
Service Catalog & Platform Governance

• Build and maintain a minimalistic, opinionated service catalog of approved cloud components across Google Cloud and Azure
• Apply a serverless-first, PaaS-first philosophy — challenge complexity and push back on
  unnecessary infrastructure sprawl
• For every approved catalog entry, deliver production-ready configuration: IaC, security baseline,observability hooks, and runbook
• Scrutinise every new component request and justify its addition in terms of cost, operationaloverhead, and platform alignment

Cloud Architecture

• Define, document, and govern cloud architectural blueprints across networking, compute, storage and data layers
• Design event-driven pipelines that trigger AI-assisted validation, drift detection, and deployment gates
• Serve as the technical authority on platform design decisions within your domain

LLM-Driven Operations

• Implement LLM-based automated deployment capabilities using tools such as OpenCode, Claude Code, or equivalent frameworks
• Design and operate infrastructure workflows augmented by AI agents — from deploymentvalidation to configuration drift detection
• Stay ahead of the market in AI-assisted tooling and bring relevant innovations into the platform

Observability

• Define the observability standard: structured logging, distributed tracing, alerting, dashboards, and SLO/SLA frameworks
• Establish platform-level KPIs and ensure consistent adoption across engineering teams

Collaboration

• Partner with DevOps and Engineering teams to embed platform standards into delivery pipelines
• Partner with SecOps to integrate all controls and security requirements
• Document everything: blueprints, ADRs, runbooks, onboarding guides

What you need to fulfill the role

Required Skills & Qualifications
You have operated multi-cloud Kubernetes environments in production, built IaC pipelines with Terraform and have hands-on experience with LLM-driven tooling in real engineering workflows. Specifically:

• Proven cloud networking experience: firewalls, gateways, VPCs, VPNs, private service connect, andnetwork security groups
• Strong, current proficiency across Google Cloud Platform (GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, VPC, Cloud Armor, Pub/Sub, Artifact Registry) and Microsoft Azure
• Proven IaC experience with Terraform (required); Ansible a strong plus
• Proven hands-on LLM tooling experience: must have used OpenCode, Claude Code, orequivalent AI-assisted coding/deployment agents in real engineering workflows
• Kubernetes at scale: demonstrated experience operating AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service) andGKE (Google Kubernetes Engine) — cluster lifecycle, upgrades, networking, and workloadmanagement
• Experience with Vertex AI, Azure AI Foundry, or similar cloud model gardens
• Ability to proactively coordinate with stakeholders to remove ambiguity and build clarity in migration designs
• Experience in Agile/fast-iteration environments with high individual ownership

Nice-to-Have (Bonus Skills)

• Knowledge of C5, SecNumCloud, ISO 27001, or equivalent cloud security frameworks
• FinOps — cost attribution, rightsizing, commitment strategies
• Prior experience in a SaaS product company at scale
• Platform engineering / SRE background

We target a mature and highly automated cloud foundation designed for modern enterprise SaaS. The long-term success of this role is defined by:

• Robust Service Catalog & Governance: An established service catalog baseline featuring approved, standardized cloud components with built-in compliance, IaC automation, and production-ready monitoring.
• Enterprise-Wide Observability Adoption: Broad deployment of unified platform-level observability standards across engineering teams, incorporating logging, distributed tracing, and clear SLA frameworks.
• AI-Accelerated Workflows: Active, production-ready LLM-driven deployment, validation, and configuration drift-detection pipelines to streamline system management.
• Sustainable Architecture Blueprints: Completed architectural blueprints and ADR documents defining the multi-cloud framework, paired with scalable FinOps cost tracking principles.
