Job summary

Kyndryl in India invites an IT/Cloud Consultant with 8+ years experience in cloud and server infrastructure to join a fast-growing, enterprise-scale environment in Chennai. You will design, implement, and manage cloud projects across AWS and Azure, optimize costs, ensure security, and collaborate with architects, PMs, and SMEs to deliver measurable value for our customers.

The role emphasizes strategic decision-making, ROI analyses, and development of future-state roadmaps within a hybrid work

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in cloud and server infrastructure within large enterprise networks.
• Experience implementing AWS/Azure-based cloud solutions and on-premise integration.
• Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows server provisioning, patching, and security.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes for incident, change, and availability management.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of hybrid cloud projects across data centers and cloud environments.
• Define sourcing strategies and select providers aligned with client IT and automation goals.
• Analyze requirements, perform ROI/business-case analyses, and ensure security and resiliency.
• Mentor teams and contribute to intellectual capital and best-practice resources.

Your Future at Kyndryl As an IT/Cloud Consultant at Kyndryl you will join the Kyndryl Consultant Profession, working with other Kyndryl Consultants, Architects, Project Managers, and cross-functional Technical Subject Matter Experts – presenting unlimited opportunities with unmatched support through our investment in your learning, training, and career growth.Who You AreMinimum expectations 8 + years experience in Cloud and server infra in large corporate network.Job Responsibilities Manifests a strong analytical and problem solving ability to escalate and negotiate complex and conflicting issues in IT technical investigations on Cloud and On-premises server infra, handle multiple and shifting priorities in a timely fashion across a broad spectrum of operating environments and to drive solutions that are both financially sound and operationally feasible.Implementation, manage and maintain multiple large and small-sized Data Center and Cloud environments across IAP Plan, Build and Implement cloud projects and involve in rectifying Operational issues on cloud and On prem server platforms, Security (Patching, Hardening etc), Improvisations.Implementing various cloud concepts including computing, networking and billing validation.Possesses a solid working knowledge of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) to recognize appropriate aspects in the Incident, Problem, Change and Availability processes as it related to Data center and cloud activities and workflows.Job SpecificationQualification Minimum of Bachelor's DegreeExperience 8 + years experience in Cloud and server infra in large corporate network. Competencies a)Technical· Experience in creating and managing multiple EC2 Instances or Elastic beanstalk environments for application deployment.· AWS, AZURE ACL / SSL certificate implementation on hosted application· Setup/Managing Linux Servers on Amazon (EC2, EBS, ELB, SSL, Security Groups, RDS and IAM).· Setup/Managing Windows Servers on Azure (VMs, BLOB, LB, SSL, Security Groups, Network and IAM).· Setup/Managing VPC, Subnets; make the connection between different zones; Blocking suspicious ip/subnet via ACL.· Setup/Managing CDN on Amazon Cloud Front (Origin Path: Server / S3) to improve site· Create/Managing buckets on S3 (CLI) and store db. and logs backup, upload images for CDN serve.· Setup/Managing Databases on Amazon RDS. Monitoring servers through Amazon Cloud Watch.· Creating/Managing DNS records on Amazon Route 53 and go-daddy panel.· Creating/Managing AMI/Snapshots/Volumes, Upgrade/downgrade AWS,AZURE resources (CPU, Memory, EBS)· Strong understanding of different versions of Linux - Server provisioning, Patching, vulnerability remediation, performance tuning and upgrade· Maintain system security and backup / recovery procedures.· Manage, coordinate, and implement software upgrades, patches, hot fixes on servers, workstations, and network hardware· Provide input on ways to improve the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the environmentManage Finops for all Cloud environments for the Region.Knowledge of Managing Landing zone & AWS organization .· Collaborate with other teams and team members to develop automation strategies and deployment processes b) BehaviouralAdministration, Problem solving skills, leadership, good communication, teamwork , decision making, able to communicate with Leadership team.Good interpersonal skills that include the ability to effectively communicate in both writing and verbally and to be able to work with clients and remotely assist non-technical users with troubleshooting.Manifests a strong analytical and problem solving ability to escalate and negotiate complex and conflicting issues in IT technical investigations, handle multiple and shifting priorities in a timely fashion across a broad spectrum of operating environments and to drive solutions that are both financially sound and operationally feasible.
