Vanguard India, based in Hyderabad, is seeking an intermediate cloud engineer to support small to mid-size cloud projects, resolve issues across domains, and mentor teams.

The role focuses on designing and deploying cloud platforms, monitoring, automation, security, backups, and documentation; it emphasizes hybrid cloud environments and performance maintenance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure management, or cloud operations.
• Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science/IT) or equivalent experience.
• Hands‑on expertise with AWS Services, Python, Cloud based databases, CI/CD, Pipeline Development, Cloud Platform Development, Cloud Based Application Development

Role Summary

This role provides intermediate level technical support for small to mid-size cloud based projects. Identifies, resolves, or escalates hardware or software issues that span multiple technology domains, while mentoring technical teams to ensure seamless cloud operations.

• Designs, implements, and deploys cloud platforms to support and meet business needs. Identifies and recommends opportunities for improvement and performance issue solutions.


• Provides intermediate level technical support and monitors multiple cloud technology platforms efficiency through the use of monitoring tools and applications. Maintains comprehensive technical knowledge of cloud software and infrastructure platforms.


• Develops technical standards. Tests and evaluates IT vendor products. Reviews configuration parameters to optimize system performance and maximize operation uptime.


• Trains and mentors staff and IT project teams, providing guidance and consultation as required. Updates, writes, and maintains documentation for the department.


• Administers systems by actively managing patching, routine maintenance and backups to include the scheduling and execution of related tasks. Evaluating system performance and capacity in a large distributed infrastructure environment.


• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.


• Maintains the security posture of cloud infrastructure, ensuring alignment with compliance standards and organizational policies.


• Develops and applies automation scripts to support deployment, scaling, and maintenance of cloud resources.


• Oversees hybrid cloud environments, optimizing performance and uptime across platforms.


• Troubleshoots cloud system issues, identifying root causes and implementing preventive solutions.


• Design, document and implement new services/ solution.

Qualifications And Skills

• Minimum 3 years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure management, or cloud operations.


• Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science/IT) or equivalent experience.


• Hands‑on expertise with AWS Services, Python, Cloud based databases, CI/CD, Pipeline Development, Cloud Platform Development, Cloud Based Application Development


• Hands on experience in software development using Python and cloud


• Nice to have skills- Claude, Understanding of Analytical tools, Basic exposure of AI tools


• Able to work independently, passionate about solving points of pain for developer community, scrum/agile methodologies


• Basic troubleshooting skills in cloud infrastructure, networking, security best practices, and performance optimization

This role is based in Hyderabad, Telangana at Vanguard’s India office. Only qualified external applicants will be considered.
