Job summary

Aptiv is seeking a Cloud Engineer (Golang / Python – Data Processing) to design, build, and operate cloud-based data processing systems for automotive data. You will ensure reliable data flows from vehicles into modern cloud platforms, enabling scalable analytics and insights across platforms.

You will work on ingest pipelines, ETL workflows, and backend services primarily in Golang, with Python where needed, and you will optimize workloads on Kubernetes and AWS to support high-throughput data

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on backend/cloud/platform engineering experience.
• Proven hands-on experience with Golang (Python a plus).
• Production-grade experience with Kubernetes and AWS.
• Experience building data processing/ETL pipelines.
• Knowledge of MySQL/MongoDB schemas and CRUD operations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy cloud-based data processing systems including ingest pipelines and ETL workflows.
• Build and maintain backend services mainly in Golang; use Python where appropriate.
• Support and optimize production workloads on Kubernetes and AWS.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve issues across distributed and legacy systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve reliability, scalability, and performance.

YOUR ROLE

As a Cloud Engineer (Golang / Python – Data Processing) at Aptiv, you will design, build, and support cloud‑based systems that ingest, process, and analyze large volumes of automotive data. You will ensure reliable data flow from vehicles into modern cloud platforms, enabling scalable data processing, analytics, and insights that power next‑generation mobility solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, test, and deploy cloud‑based data processing systems, including ingest pipelines and ETL workflows
• Build and maintain backend services primarily using Golang, with Python used where appropriate
• Support and optimize production workloads running on Kubernetes and AWS
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve issues across distributed and legacy systems
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams to improve system reliability, scalability, and performance

YOUR BACKGROUND

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in backend, cloud, or platform engineering roles
• Strong hands‑on experience with Golang (Python experience is a plus; Golang exposure is required)
• Proven experience working with Kubernetes and AWS in production environments
• Experience building or supporting data processing / ETL pipelines
• Working knowledge of MySQL and/or MongoDB, including schema design and CRUD operations
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field

Nice to have:

• Experience with Helm and microservices deployment
• AWS S3 file I/O and media or large‑file processing
• Experience working with large‑scale datasets or high‑throughput systems
• Exposure to automotive, telemetry, or data‑intensive domain environments
