Job summary

VySystems is seeking an experienced Cloud Architect with 8+ years of hands-on expertise in cloud and infrastructure design. You will design scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures across public, private, and hybrid environments.

You will lead cloud migration initiatives, define adoption strategies, and collaborate with engineering, security, and operations teams to ensure architectural alignment and best practices. Strong IaC and data center knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in cloud and enterprise infrastructure design.
• Hands-on experience across AWS, Azure, GCP and hybrid/multi-cloud arch.
• Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure, security, and governance.
• Proficiency with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM/Bicep).
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise-grade cloud architectures across public, private, and hybrid clouds.
• Define cloud adoption, migration, modernization, and transformation strategies.
• Design highly available, secure, and resilient cloud solutions.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Architect with strong expertise in cloud architecture, data center infrastructure, and enterprise infrastructure design. The ideal candidate should have 8+ years of experience, including hands-on experience in Cloud Architecture, Data Center Infrastructure, and Infrastructure Architecture.

The candidate will be responsible for designing scalable, secure, highly available, and cost-effective cloud and infrastructure solutions while working closely with engineering, security, operations, and application teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise-grade cloud architecture across public, private, and hybrid cloud environments.
• Define cloud adoption, migration, modernization, and transformation strategies.
• Design highly available, scalable, secure, and resilient cloud solutions.
• Assess existing data center infrastructure and develop cloud/hybrid transformation roadmaps.
• Architect compute, storage, networking, virtualization, backup, disaster recovery, and security solutions.
• Develop Infrastructure Architecture and High-Level/Low-Level Design (HLD/LLD) documents.
• Evaluate infrastructure requirements and recommend appropriate technology solutions.
• Lead cloud migration and data center modernization initiatives.
• Work with network, security, DevOps, application, and infrastructure teams to ensure architectural alignment.
• Establish standards, best practices, governance, security controls, and architecture principles.
• Identify opportunities for infrastructure optimization, automation, performance improvement, and cost reduction.
• Participate in architecture reviews and provide technical guidance to engineering and operations teams.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and cloud architecture issues and provide long-term solutions.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in AWS / Azure / GCP cloud architecture.
• Cloud networking: VPC/VNet, VPN, Direct Connect/ExpressRoute, load balancing, DNS, firewalls.
• Compute, storage, databases, containers, Kubernetes, and serverless technologies.
• IAM, encryption, security architecture, and cloud governance.
• High availability, disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity.
• Cloud migration and hybrid-cloud architecture.
• Infrastructure as Code using Terraform / CloudFormation / ARM/Bicep.

Data Center Infrastructure

• Strong understanding of enterprise data center architecture.
• Servers, storage, networking, virtualization, backup, and disaster recovery.
• VMware/Hyper-V and virtualization technologies.
• SAN/NAS, enterprise storage, and data protection technologies.
• Data center networking, routing, switching, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Experience with data center migration/consolidation projects.
• Understanding of capacity planning, availability, performance, and infrastructure resilience.
• Experience creating HLD, LLD, architecture diagrams, and technical solution documents.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise infrastructure and technology standards.
• Experience working with cross-functional infrastructure and application teams.
• Strong understanding of security, compliance, monitoring, logging, and operational requirements.
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical architectures.
