Job summary

HCL Technologies Limited is seeking a Cloud Technical Architect to lead customer-facing solution design and pre-sales for the Manufacturing AI Suite in Bengaluru. You will shape opportunities, define architectures, run customer workshops, and drive POCs and implementations with cross-functional teams.

The role requires deep expertise in cloud-native architectures, AI/ML, GenAI, data engineering, and enterprise integration, with strong stakeholder management and presentation skills.

Qualifications

• Must have customer-facing solution architecture and technical pre-sales experience.
• Ability to develop technical proposals, estimate effort, and advise on solutions.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
• Experience leading customer workshops, architecture reviews, and POCs.
• OnPrem manufacturing AI application architecture knowledge.
• Expertise in AI/ML architecture, MLOps, and data engineering.
• Knowledge of ML, DL, GenAI, LLMs, RAG, vector databases, and AI agent frameworks.
• Python for AI automation and enterprise AI solutions.
• Enterprise integration, security and AI governance considerations.
• Manufacturing digital transformation and OT/IT integration awareness.
• Experience with APIs, microservices, and cloud-native architectures.
• DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CI/CD).
• Edge computing and IoT platforms familiarity.
• Agentic AI and multi-agent orchestration concepts.
• AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot, Claude Code.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer discovery sessions, workshops, and solution discussions to translate challenges into AI-led opportunities.
• Architect and position Manufacturing AI Suite across cloud, AI/ML, data integration, and Industry 4.0 needs.
• Support opportunity qualification, proposals, RFP/RFI responses, and technical discussions with customers.
• Define and lead POCs, prototypes, and validation to move from opportunity to delivery.
• Provide technical leadership to the development team and create reusable accelerators and reference architectures.
• Develop quick prototypes and POCs to demonstrate value.

Job description

The Cloud Technical Architect (Azure and AI) will lead customer-facing solutioning, technical pre-sales, and architecture for the Manufacturing AI Suite. The role will work closely with customers, sales teams, and engineering teams to shape opportunities, define solution architectures, drive customer workshops, and convert opportunities into POCs and implementation engagements

Key Responsibilities

• Lead customer discovery sessions, workshops, and solution discussions to understand business challenges and define AI-led transformation opportunities.
• Architect and position Manufacturing AI Suite solutions covering cloud, AI/ML, GenAI, data, integration, and Industry 4.0 requirements.
• Partner with sales and product teams to support opportunity qualification, solution presentations, proposals, RFP/RFI responses, and customer technical discussions.
• Define and lead POCs, prototypes, and technical validation exercises, ensuring successful transition from opportunity to delivery.
• Provide technical leadership to development team and help build reusable accelerators, reference architectures, and solution IP.
• Handson Develop quick prototypes and POCs
