Job summary

Jobtailor in Bengaluru is seeking a Data Management Lead to manage end-to-end data management services for single or multi-service projects, ensuring quality deliverables on time and within budget while achieving sponsor satisfaction.

You will provide leadership in project planning, execution, and close-out, guide the DM team, and collaborate with programming and QA teams to drive process improvements in clinical research data management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in health, clinical, biological or mathematical sciences, or a related field with proven experience in data management.
• 3–4 years of direct data management experience, including a minimum of 1 year as a CDM project lead.
• English fluency (spoken) and advanced English writing.
• Advanced computer applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and inbox tools.
• Advanced understanding of the drug development lifecycle and overall clinical research process.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end data management projects to ensure timely, on-budget deliverables.
• Provide expertise to the DM team to deliver high-quality data products.
• Oversee project planning, execution, and close-out, including financial oversight.
• Gather study setup requirements through stakeholder discussions.
• Support validation of new device integrations with minimal guidance.
• Perform regular data cleaning to ensure quality for sponsors.
• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and sponsor expectations.
• Assist with training new joiners and onboarding.
• Lead study meetings and sponsor audits; participate in kick-off meetings.
• Track project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.
• Support implementation of new technology/database revisions.
• Collaborate with programming team on process innovation and automation.
• Maintain compliance with trainings and eSOP reading.
• Provide review and expert opinion on SOPs and work instructions.
• Communicate with line manager and teammates across functions.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end delivery of data management services for single/multi-service projects with minimal guidance, ensuring quality deliverables on time and within budget, to customer satisfaction.
• Provide comprehensive data management expertise to the DM team to deliver high quality data management products that meet customer needs.
• Provide leadership to the team in the areas of project planning, execution, and close‑out; overview of financial management for data management activities; communications; and milestone deliverables.
• Gather study set‑up requirements through discussion and communication with relevant stakeholders.
• Support, with minimal guidance, the validation of new device integrations.
• Oversee and perform regular data‑cleaning activities to ensure clean data with quality and timely deliverables to sponsor.
• Ensure that all deliverables meet expected quality standards and customer expectations.
• With guidance, ensure service and quality meet agreed‑upon timelines and deliverables in the contract/Scope of Work (SOW).
• Support training of new joiners.
• Lead internal study meetings and sponsor audits, and participate in study kick‑off meetings and other sponsor meetings.
• Track and manage projects, oversee progress, identify risks, and take corrective action to rectify errors as needed.
• With guidance, manage and oversee the implementation of new technology/database revisions.
• Work closely with the programming team for process innovation and automation.
• Maintain compliance with trainings and eSOP reading.
• Provide review and expert opinion in developing, revising, and maintaining core operating procedures and working instructions.
