Job summary

Alignerr Corp. is seeking a Climate Data Specialist (AI Training) with a Master''s or PhD in Environmental Science or related field to develop expert-level environmental problems for AI training.

This fully remote hourly contract offers 10–40 hours per week and focuses on climate modeling, ecology, sustainability, and rigorous scientific reasoning. You will work asynchronously with AI researchers to ensure clarity and accuracy of deliverables while contributing to cutting-edge AI training.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Environmental Science, Climate Science, Ecology, or related field.
• Proficient in Python or R for research, data analysis, or modeling.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English.

Who You Are

• Holds a Master's or PhD in Environmental Science, Climate Science, Ecology, or a closely related field
• Experienced with Python or R for research, data analysis, or modeling
• Deep subject matter expertise in climate modeling, ecology, sustainability, or environmental systems
• Exceptional written communicator - you can explain complex science clearly and precisely
• Detail-oriented and methodical with a strong commitment to scientific accuracy
• Fluent in English and based in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Australia, or New Zealand

Nice to Have

• Prior experience with data annotation, data quality review, or AI evaluation workflows
• Background in peer review, academic publishing, or curriculum development
• Familiarity with AI tools or machine learning concepts
• Experience communicating complex environmental concepts to interdisciplinary audiences
