Job summary

Alike Thoughts in Hyderabad, India seeks a seasoned ClickHouse and data infra engineer to build and manage production-grade ClickHouse in an on-premises HSBC environment using Docker and Kubernetes.

You will enable HA/DR, security guardrails, and data ingestion with S3, while optimizing performance and ensuring robust operations. Strong Python/Shell scripting and Ansible experience are required to deliver reliable solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience with ClickHouse in production environments is required.
• Strong scripting in Python and shell is essential.
• Experience integrating REST APIs and Ansible for automation.

Responsibilities

• Engineer production-grade ClickHouse OpenSource environment using Docker and Kubernetes in on-premises HSBC environment
• Enable HA Replication and Disaster Recovery for ClickHouse
• Setup security guardrails for ClickHouse LDAP/AD/SSL User Access Management
• Implement performance tuning and optimization techniques for ClickHouse
• Integrate ClickHouse with external storage systems like S3
• Implement data ingest methods into ClickHouse
• Provide production support for ClickHouse environments
• Maintain system operational helpdesk documentation and support procedures
• Ensure compliance with development standards, legal, and SOX controls
• Collaborate with Technical Business teams
• Demonstrate strong communication and problem-solving skills
