Job summary

GMS Elegant Builders (I) Pvt Ltd in Tamil Nadu seeks a diligent Civil Engineer to supervise daily site activities, ensure work aligns with drawings, specifications, and safety norms, and coordinate with contractors.

You will monitor resources, assist in preparing bar bending schedules and work bills, perform quality checks, and support project managers and consultants in resolving on-site issues while maintaining clear communication with the team and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 1 - 3 years civil engineering experience related to site design, land development and land use permitting.
• Experience with AutoCAD.
• Strong organizational, analytical, communication skills and design skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day site activities, ensuring work execution as per drawings, specifications, quality, and safety standards.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and laborers to ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitor and manage resources such as manpower, materials, and machinery efficiently.
• Ensure timely completion of project milestones as per schedule.
• Maintain site records including daily progress reports, material usage, and work measurement.
• Assist in preparing bar bending schedules, measurement sheets, and work bills.
• Conduct quality checks for concrete, steel, shuttering, finishing works, etc.
• Ensure compliance with IS codes, company standards, and safety norms.
• Resolve site-related technical issues in coordination with project managers and consultants.
• Communicate effectively with the project team, clients, and management.
