Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and execute civil construction projects inside the plant (buildings, foundations, roads, drainage, structures, etc.).
• Prepare BOQs, estimates, and technical drawings in coordination with design teams.
• Supervise site activities to ensure work is done as per specifications, quality standards, and safety norms.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and consultants.

Structural & Infrastructure Maintenance

• Inspect and maintain plant buildings, utility structures, RCC foundations, storage yards, and boundary walls.
• Plan preventive maintenance of civil assets to avoid downtime.
• Conduct periodic structural audits and recommend corrective actions.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with IS codes, industry standards, and company policies.
• Implement site safety standards for civil works.
• Support environmental and safety audits related to civil infrastructure.

Coordination & Documentation

• Work closely with production, maintenance, electrical, and mechanical teams for plant modifications.
• Maintain documentation such as drawings, permits, contractor bills, quality checklists, etc.
• Support project tendering, vendor evaluations, and consumption tracking of civil materials.

Cost & Quality Control

• Monitor civil project budgets and control expenditures.
• Ensure high-quality workmanship and use of approved materials.
• Conduct quality checks (concrete testing, soil testing, material inspection).

Skills & Qualifications

Education

• B.Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering (Diploma holders with experience may also apply).

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of industrial plant construction, foundations, RCC design, and maintenance.
• Experience with AutoCAD, MS-Office, and project planning tools.
• Understanding of safety norms, construction quality standards, and civil materials.

Soft Skills

• Strong communication and coordination abilities.
