Job summary

Citi in Pune, India, seeks an entry-level Securities & Derivatives Analyst to process orders and transactions, supporting the Operations - Transaction Services team. You will assist with clearance, settlement and investigations of client securities and derivatives transactions.

The role requires attention to detail, basic knowledge of Treasury products and regulatory policies, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-risk environment.

Qualifications

• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
• Fundamental understanding of Treasury products, accounting and regulatory policies
• Proven ability to handle multiple concurrent activities or projects in a high-risk environment
• Demonstrated knowledge of macros
• Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Process orders and transactions from trading desks and branch offices
• Assist with clearance, settlement and investigation of client securities and derivatives transactions
• Perform trade verifications to ensure booking requests are accurate
• Generate and match trade confirmations using ISDA templates
• Complete settlement tasks and daily rate revaluations accurately and on time
• Escalate processing issues and work toward a solution
• Perform regulatory controls, account reconciliations and record retention
• Prepare and submit periodic internal and external regulatory reports
• Participate in GL proofing exercises as directed
• Assess risk and ensure compliance with laws and internal policies

In this role, you're expected to:

The Securities & Derivatives Analyst 1 is an entry level position that processes orders and transactions from trading desks and branch offices, working with the Operations - Transaction Services team. The role assists with the clearance, settlement and investigation of client securities and derivatives transactions.

• Perform trade verifications to ensure booking requests are accurate
• Generate and match trade confirmations using International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA) templates
• Complete settlement tasks and daily rate revaluations accurately and on time
• Escalate transaction processing issues to the right department and work toward a solution
• Perform regulatory controls, account reconciliations and record retention activities according to established policies
• Prepare and submit periodic internal and external regulatory reports
• Take part in periodic General Ledger (GL) proofing exercises as directed
• Assess risk appropriately when making business decisions, protecting the firm's reputation and Citigroup, its clients and assets by complying with laws, rules and regulations, following Policy, applying sound ethical judgment and reporting control issues transparently

As a successful candidate, you'd ideally have the following skills and exposure:
