Job summary

A leading automotive engineering company based in Bengaluru is seeking a Circuit Design & Development Engineer to develop IPC-compliant Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs). The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in CCA design and manufacturing processes, with a focus on quality and reliability. Responsibilities include coordinating stress analysis, conducting thermal simulations, and working within cross-functional teams. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or a related field is required.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in CCA or related component design and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with powerpack design and manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with thermal and mechanical stress analysis techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Develop IPC-compliant CCAs for controller assemblies, motor position sensors, and torque/position sensors.
  • Create and maintain product drawings, specifications, and Bills of Materials.
  • Coordinate mechanical stress analysis and component testing for CCAs.

Job description

Job Title: Circuit Design & Development Engineer

The Application CCA (Circuit Card Assembly) Design Engineer will focus on developing IPC-compliant CCAs that meet customer-specific packaging and performance requirements. The role includes coordinating stress analysis, thermal simulations, and using DFMEA/DFSS processes to ensure the quality and reliability of electronic components and assemblies.

Role
Primary Responsibilities
  • Develop IPC-compliant CCAs for controller assemblies, motor position sensors, and torque/position sensors.
  • Design application‑specific connectors and wire harnesses.
  • Create and maintain product drawings, specifications, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Coordinate mechanical stress analysis (FEA) and component testing for CCAs.
  • Conduct thermal Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations for electrical components and assemblies, including testing.
  • Use DFMEA and DFSS processes to ensure quality at both component and system levels.
  • Perform ECU failure analysis to identify root causes and provide recommendations for corrective actions.

  • Support system-level integration of CCAs into overall product architecture.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams for continuous improvement activities and aligning design with system requirements.
  • Ensure component and system testing aligns with quality and performance metrics.
  • Communicate technical issues and project status across teams.
Education
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering.
Experience
  • 10+ years of experience in CCA or related component design and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with powerpack design and manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with thermal and mechanical stress analysis techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of DFMEA and DFSS methodologies.
