Job summary

Sia Partners in Mumbai is seeking a Chief Technology Officer to lead the group’s technology strategy, focusing on AI and Data Science platforms. This role carries group-wide responsibility for internal and client-facing platforms and is based in Mumbai with hybrid work options.

You will drive end-to-end AI/ML platform development, data governance, MLOps, and scalable architecture across cloud environments, partnering with AI leadership to industrialize models into products and platforms.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CTO, Head of Engineering, or senior technology leader in AI/data-driven environments.
• Strong experience building and scaling AI/ML platforms and data ecosystems.
• Deep understanding of cloud-native architectures and data platforms (lakehouse, streaming).
• Experience delivering both internal platforms and client-facing digital/AI products.
• Strong leadership experience managing cross-functional technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the group’s technology strategy with a strong emphasis on AI, data, and analytics platforms.
• Partner with AI & Data Science leadership to industrialize models into scalable products and platforms.
• Drive innovation in GenAI, advanced analytics, and data-driven products.
• Own internal and external platforms, ensuring data pipelines, model deployment, and system integration.
• Build reusable, modular platform components and lead end-to-end AI/ML platform development.
• Establish MLOps, data governance, and model lifecycle management practices.
• Ensure reliability, reproducibility, and scalability of AI solutions.
• Build and lead multidisciplinary teams across software, data, ML, and DevOps.
• Define data architecture, governance frameworks, and cloud infrastructure oversight.
• Track KPIs across platform performance and AI adoption.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our technology strategy and execution with a strong focus onAI and Data Science platforms. Based in Mumbai, this role carriesgroup-wide responsibilityfor both internal and external platforms, supporting our AI-driven offerings and digital transformation initiatives.

TheCTOwill play a critical role inindustrializing AI and data capabilities, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performing platforms that power both internal operations and client-facing solutions.

This is a hybrid role combiningtechnology leadership, platform engineering, and AI enablement.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the group’s technology strategy with a strong emphasis onAI, data, and analytics platforms
• Partner with AI & Data Science leadership toindustrialize models into scalable products and platforms
• Drive innovation in areas such asGenAI, advanced analytics, and data-driven products

Platform Ownership (Internal & Client-Facing)

• Own the architecture and scalability of:
  • Internal platforms (data platforms, knowledge systems, AI tooling, internal apps)
  • External/client-facing platforms (AI-powered solutions, digital products, client delivery platforms)
• Ensure seamlessdata pipelines, model deployment, and system integration
• Build reusable, modular, and scalable platform components
• Lead the development ofend-to-end AI/ML platforms(data ingestion, training, deployment, monitoring)
• Establish best practices for:
  • MLOps / LLMOps
  • Data engineering and governance
  • Model lifecycle management
• Ensure reliability, reproducibility, and scalability of AI solutions

Engineering Leadership & Delivery

• Build and lead multidisciplinary teams across:
  • Software engineering
  • Data engineering
  • ML engineering
  • Platform & DevOps
• Drive a strong engineering culture focused onquality, speed, and innovation
• Oversee delivery of complex, multi-platform initiatives

Data, Security & Infrastructure

• Define and implementdata architecture and governance frameworks
• Ensure compliance withdata privacy regulations and AI governance standards
• Oversee cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP), ensuring scalability and cost efficiency
• Implement robustcybersecurity and model risk management practices

Stakeholder & Client Engagement

• Act as a senior technology partner to business and AI leaders
• Support client engagements where deep technology expertise is required
• Translate business and AI use cases into scalable platform solutions

Governance & Operations

• Establish governance frameworks for platform and AI investments
• Manage technology budgets, vendors, and partnerships (including AI/tech ecosystems)
• Track KPIs across platform performance, AI adoption, and delivery excellence
