Position Overview
The Vice President to MD Office is a trusted advisor and strategic enabler who ensures the MD’s time, focus, and decisions are aligned with the organization’s highest priorities. This role demands a blend of strategic thinking, operational execution, stakeholder management, and business acumen. He will drive cross-functional initiatives, enhances leadership team productivity, and acts as a liaison between the MD and internal/external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- 1. Strategic Planning & Alignment
- Collaborate with the MD and leadership team to drive the organization’s strategic planning, OKRs, and quarterly business reviews.
- Monitor progress on strategic initiatives and ensure timely execution of priorities.
- Identify business challenges and opportunities and proactively recommend solutions or courses of action.
- 2. Executive Support & Advisory
- Act as a sounding board to the MD on key business decisions, internal dynamics, and stakeholder matters.
- Provide data-backed insights, analysis, and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
- Draft executive communication, board notes, and key presentations on behalf of the MD.
- 3. Leadership Team Enablement
- Facilitate alignment and collaboration across the leadership team; manage leadership meetings, offsites, and workshops.
- Track decisions, action items, and follow-ups to ensure accountability across functions.
- Help break silos between departments and improve cross-functional workflows.
- 4. Program & Project Management
- Lead special projects and high-impact cross-functional initiatives directly from the MD’s office.
- Develop project plans, track milestones, resolve roadblocks, and ensure timely delivery.
- Ensure strong communication and reporting on project status, risks, and outcomes.
- 5. Communication & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the central communication link between the MD’s office and internal/external stakeholders.
- Manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Represent the MD in meetings or forums as required, ensuring alignment of messaging and objectives.
- 6. Operational Excellence
- Drive process improvements and identify areas for operational optimization within the MD office and across the business.
- Ensure the MD is briefed and prepped for key meetings, decisions, and external engagements.
- Manage agendas, prep documents, and handle executive-level reporting.
