Job summary

Sterlite Power is seeking a Finance Manager to lead FP&A, costing and order book management, directing budgeting, forecasting and strategic financial planning.

The ideal candidate holds a CA or CMA with 9–12+ years in finance, including 3+ years in a managerial role in manufacturing, and will partner with operations, sales, SCM and HR to drive profitability and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead FP&A, budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning.

  • Ensure timely financial reporting and compliance.
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity.
  • Assess product margins and pricing impacts with production teams.
  • Develop and mentor finance team; collaborate with operations, sales, SCM & HR.

JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager to join our team to lead FP&A, Costing, Order Book Management etc related activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, manufacturing accounting, and budgeting, with the ability to contribute to strategic decision-making processes. Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the company's financial activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and helping to drive profitability and operational efficiency.

Key Result Areas:
Financial Planning & Analysis:
  • Prepare and manage the annual budget and financial forecasts.
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Provide recommendations to senior management for cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
  • Assist in the development of long-term financial strategies aligned with company goals.
Reporting & Compliance:
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting to management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure all financial reports are accurate, timely, and compliant with regulatory standards and industry practices.
  • Manage the preparation of statutory financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring proper compliance with legal and tax regulations.
Cash Flow Management:
  • Monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Implement strategies to optimize cash flow and manage day-to-day financial operations.
  • Oversee receivables and payables processes, ensuring timely collection and payment.
Cost Control & Profitability:
  • Analyze cost structures, including raw materials, labor, and overhead costs in the manufacturing process.
  • Develop and monitor cost control measures to improve profitability and reduce waste.
  • Work closely with the production team to assess product margins and suggest pricing adjustments.
Risk Management:
  • Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate, particularly in areas like commodity price fluctuations, currency risks, and economic downturns.
  • Ensure adequate financial controls are in place to safeguard company assets.

Team Leadership & Development:
  • Team leader & Ability to drive performance
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the team to improve skills, productivity, and overall performance.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration between the finance department and other functional areas of the company (e.g., Operations, Sales, SCM & HR).

Educational Qualifications: CA or CMA

Experience (Years and Type): Minimum of 9-12+ years of experience in finance, with at least 3 years in a managerial role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
