Job summary

SGS India is seeking a technician to perform copper concentrate testing using wet chemical methods and to test gold and silver via fusion and parting. The role includes ICP-OES impurity testing, weight/moisture monitoring, and sampling at the concentrate warehouse. You will determine purity using handheld X-Ray and assist during conveyor unloading at CT-1/CT-2.

Experience of 2–9 years, readiness for field work, and relocation to Mundra are preferred; ICP-OES proficiency is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in testing copper concentrate and precious metals.
• ICP-OES testing is required.
• Willingness to perform field work and sampling.

Responsibilities

• Test copper in concentrate using wet chemical methods.
• Test gold and silver using fusion followed by parting.
• Test for impurities with ICP-OES.
• Monitor weight, moisture, and sample copper concentrate at the warehouse.
• Determine purity at the warehouse using handheld X-Ray.
• Oversee conveyor unloading as needed during CT-1 and CT-2 operations.

Role & responsibilities

• Testing of Copper in Copper concentrate using wet chemical
• Testing of gold and silver using fusion followed by parting
• testing of impurities by ICP-OES.
• Monitoring of weight, Moisture and sampling of copper concentrate at concentrate warehouse.
• Determination of purity at concentrate warehouse using handy X-RAY.
• conveyor unloading monitoring as & when required while unloading of concentrate at CT-1 & CT-2.

Competency:

• One must be ready to do field work along with competency to perform the above tests with similar field.

Preferred candidate profile

Experience: 2 years-9 years

Instrument: wet chemical, ICP-OES( required)
