Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Chemist with strong knowledge in water/coal analysis and laboratory operations. The ideal candidate should be able to independently manage lab activities, perform testing as per standards, and prepare accurate analytical reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Coal Analysis including proximate and ultimate analysis
  • Perform JAR Tests for coagulation and flocculation studies
  • Carry out COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand) and BOD (Biochemical Oxygen Demand) testing
  • Conduct routine water and wastewater quality analysis as per standard methods
  • Prepare and maintain test reports, calibration logs, and laboratory documents
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain quality standards during testing
  • Operate, maintain, and calibrate lab instruments
  • Maintain laboratory cleanliness, safety, and equipment care
  • Coordinate with operations team for sample collection and analysis
  • Ensure compliance with organizational SOPs and statutory guidelines
Required Skills
  • Strong knowledge of chemical testing methods and lab techniques
  • Hands‑on experience with COD/BOD apparatus, pH meter, spectrophotometer, JAR test setup, etc.
  • Ability to prepare accurate lab reports and maintain documentation
  • Good analytical, observation, and problem‑solving skills
  • Basic understanding of water & wastewater treatment processes (preferred)
