Job summary

Frost & Sullivan is seeking Chartered Accountants with 8-10+ years of experience to support global accounting functions from Chennai. The role emphasizes data accuracy, standardization, and system readiness across regions.

You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure integrity of financial data, participate in testing, and contribute to process improvements. This is an in-person position based in India with a global impact.

Qualifications

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)
• 10+ years of post-qualification experience in accounting/finance
• B.Com / M.Com preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Strong verbal and written English communication
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail
• Independent and collaborative work style with good stakeholder relationships

Responsibilities

• Examine, verify, cleanse, and reconcile financial records (trial balances, ledgers, invoices, tax data, bank statements) for completeness and accuracy
• Prepare data mappings and coding frameworks; align financial data for system enhancements and reporting
• Participate in system testing with senior accountants and cross-functional teams to resolve inconsistencies
• Document current accounting processes, controls, and reporting needs to improve efficiency
• Collaborate with finance, IT, tax, and audit teams across geographies to gather requirements
• Maintain audit trails to support compliance and future audits
• Support validation of financial data across systems (trial balance, P&L, balance sheet)
• Assist in month-end and year-end closings and contribute to process improvements

About The Role

We are looking to hire Chartered Accountants with 8-10+yrs years of experience to support global accounting functions. This role focuses on enhancing financial data accuracy, driving process standardization, and ensuring system readiness across multiple regions.

Responsibilities

• Examine, verify, cleanse, and reconcile financial records such as trial balances, general ledgers, invoices, tax data, and bank statements to ensure completeness and correctness.
• Assist in preparing data mappings, coding frameworks, and aligning financial data for system enhancements and standardized reporting.
• Take part in system testing and work closely with senior accountants and cross-functional teams to identify and resolve inconsistencies.

Process Documentation & Stakeholder Coordination

• Capture and document current accounting processes, controls, and reporting needs to improve efficiency and consistency.
• Collaborate with finance, IT, tax, and audit teams across geographies to gather requirements, align deliverables, and share updates.
• Maintain detailed documentation and audit trails to support compliance requirements and future audits.

Data Validation, Reporting & System Support

• Support validation of financial data across systems by reconciling reports such as trial balance, P&L, and balance sheet.
• Contribute to User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure alignment with business, reporting, and statutory requirements.
• Assist in identifying and addressing discrepancies that impact reporting accuracy and workflow efficiency.

General Accounting Support

• Handle routine accounting activities including ledger updates, journal entries, bank reconciliations, and GST/TDS-related tasks.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• Contribute to ongoing process improvement initiatives within the finance team.

Required Competencies

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)
• 10+ years of post-qualification relevant experience in accounting or finance
• B.Com / M.Com preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with accuracy
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail
• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective stakeholder relationships
