Job description

CGI is looking to hire skilled and talented freshers to join our dynamic team through our Apprentice Program.

You will be responsible for optimizing, automating, and managing the testing infrastructure to ensure continuous and efficient testing of software applications. You will work closely with the development and operations teams to create robust testing pipelines, enhance test environments, and improve the quality of our products through automation and continuous integration practices.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Automation & Scripting: Develop and maintain automation scripts for testing purposes using tools like Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, etc., ensuring the reliability of test execution and reporting.
2. CI/CD Pipeline Management: Assist in integrating testing workflows into Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, ensuring automated tests are triggered on each code commit.
3. Environment Management: Maintain and improve test environments to ensure that they are stable and reliable for testing. Coordinate with DevOps to ensure seamless integration of test environments with deployment pipelines.
4. Monitoring & Reporting: Monitor the execution of tests, analyze test results, and provide actionable insights. Investigate failures and collaborate with developers to resolve issues efficiently.
5. Test Data Management: Ensure proper test data management, including the creation and validation of test data and maintaining it for various test scenarios.
6. Collaboration: Work closely with developers, QA engineers, and operations teams to ensure smooth test execution across different environments and platforms.
