Certinia (FinancialForce) Salesforce Developer/AdministratorJob Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivatedCertinia (formerly FinancialForce) Salesforce Developer & Administrator to join our team. This role is pivotal to the success of ournew Certinia implementation for Professional Services within our Salesforce org. The ideal candidate will be involved from theground up — starting from implementation through post-go-live enhancements— and will serve as a key technical resource throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Implementation Phase
- Actively participate in theend-to-end implementation of Certinia Professional Services Automation (PSA) and related modules on the Salesforce platform.
- Collaborate with implementation partners, business stakeholders, and functional consultants to gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Performsystem configuration, including but not limited to: project management, resource management, time & expense, billing, and revenue recognition modules within Certinia.
- Design and developcustom solutions using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, and other Salesforce development tools to extend Certinia functionality.
- Build and managedata migration strategies, including data mapping, extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) into the new Certinia instance.
- Develop and executeintegration solutions between Certinia and other internal/external systems (ERP, HRIS, CRM, etc.) using REST/SOAP APIs and middleware tools.
- SupportUser Acceptance Testing (UAT), System Integration Testing (SIT), and defect resolution during the implementation cycle.
Post Go-Live & Ongoing Operations
- Providepost-go-live support, including bug fixes, performance tuning, and user support during the stabilization period.
- Drivecontinuous improvement by identifying enhancement opportunities, gathering user feedback, and delivering iterative releases.
- Perform ongoingSalesforce and Certinia administration, including user management, security settings, profiles, permission sets, roles, sharing rules, and page layouts.
- Managerelease and deployment processes using tools such as Salesforce Change Sets, SFDX, Copado, or similar CI/CD tools.
- Create and maintaintechnical documentation, including solution designs, configuration guides, and runbooks.
- Monitor system health,troubleshoot issues, and ensure platform stability and scalability.
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
- Salesforce Development:Strong proficiency in Apex (Classes, Triggers, Batch, Scheduled, Queueable), SOQL, SOSL, Visualforce, andLightning Web Components (LWC).
- Salesforce Administration:Expert-level knowledge of declarative tools — Flows, Process Builder, Validation Rules, Custom Objects/Fields, Record Types, Page Layouts, and Lightning App Builder.
- Certinia Modules:Hands-on experience with CertiniaPSA(Projects, Resource Management, Timecards, Expenses, Billing, Revenue Recognition). Experience with CertiniaFinancial Management (FM)orERPmodules is a plus.
- Integration:Experience with SalesforceREST/SOAP APIs, Connected Apps, Named Credentials, Platform Events, and middleware tools (MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Informatica, or similar).
- Data Management:Proficiency with data migration and management tools such asData Loader, Dataflow, or Informatica.
- Deployment & DevOps:Familiarity withSFDX, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment tools (Copado, Gearset, or similar).
- Reporting & Analytics:Ability to build complexSalesforce Reports, Dashboards, and leverage Certinia's native reporting capabilities.
Functional Knowledge
- Strong understanding ofProfessional Services business processes— project lifecycle, resource planning, time tracking, billing models (T&M, Fixed Price, Milestone-based), and revenue recognition principles.
- Familiarity withSalesforce security model— OWD, Sharing Rules, Profiles, Permission Sets, and Field-Level Security.

- Excellentanalytical and problem-solvingabilities.
- Strongcommunication skills— ability to interact effectively with business users, project managers, and technical teams.
- Self-starter with the ability to workindependentlyand manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- Salesforce Certifications:Platform Developer I/II, Administrator, App Builder, or any relevant Salesforce credential.
- Certinia Certificationsor formal training in Certinia PSA/FM modules.
- Prior experience withCertinia implementation from scratch(greenfield implementation).
- Experience working in anAgile/Scrumdelivery model.
- Familiarity withSalesforce CPQ, Service Cloud, or Experience Cloudas they relate to the Professional Services ecosystem.
- Knowledge ofSOX compliance, audit controls, and governance within Salesforce.
