Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Materials Science or Ceramic Engineering required.
• Familiarity with slip casting, pressing, or sintering methods.
• Experience with lab equipment for material testing (XRD/XRF/SEM) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and formulation of ceramic materials; optimize structure-processing-property relationships.
• Conduct laboratory experiments to evaluate ceramic materials under varying processing conditions.
• Collaborate with production to streamline industrial processes and test FG quality.
• Maintain documentation of experiments and recommendations for process improvements.
• Work with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot material issues in R&D and production.

Job description

We are looking for a passionate Ceramic Engineer to join our minerals team at RBL Natural Resources Ltd, Udaipur (Rajasthan). This role demands bottom-up approach to develop ceramic materials for different segments encompassing material selection, analytical characterization, process optimization, performance validation as per customer requirements.

Role & responsibilities

• Research: Assist in the design and formulation of ceramic materials, focusing on optimizing structure-processing-property-performance correlation and relevant data interpretation
• Experimentation & Testing: Conduct laboratory experiments and tests to evaluate the performance of ceramic materials under various processing conditions
• Scalability: Collaborate with team of researchers and production plant to streamline industrial production process, test in-process and FG quality parameters, analyze test results and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders (marketing, customer, plants)
• Production: Support the development of production processes for ceramic components, ensuring adherence to quality standards
• Collaboration & Communication: Actively participate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot material-related issues in R&D and production
• Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of experiments, results, and recommendations for process improvements

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Ceramic Engineering, or a related field
• Familiarity with ceramic fabrication methods such as slip casting, pressing, or sintering
• Basic proficiency in laboratory equipment used for material testing, such as MOR, Particle sizers, XRD, XRF, SEM, and thermal analyzers Understanding of material property testing standards and methodologies
