Head - Talent Acquisition || Battery Technology || Li-Ion Cell Manufacturing

Roles and Responsibility

• Responsibility of cell development for LFP battery with high safety and high reliability for various form factor cells, cylindrical, prismatic, pouch cell to meet customer requirement and deliver to mass production phase in giga factory.
• Battery cell test with coin cell and pouch cell.
• Make plan and test preparation in test laboratory.
• Keep all equipment and work areas clean and free of debris.
• Ensure the safety, quality, and efficiencies of the installation crew.
• Perform and monitor tests in the lab or field.
• Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
• Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Data collection and analyze results.
• Cell design support for new developed battery.
• Chemical and electrochemical analysis.

Mandatory Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in material science, chemistry, electrochemistry, or related field.
• Proficiency in foundational knowledge of NMC and LFP cell technologies.
• Developing coin cells and pouch cells based on inputs from material development scientists.
• Testing techniques & material characterization.
• Knowledge in lithium-ion battery materials, electrode manufacturing process.
• Knowledge in chemical poisonous and hazardous substances.
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable advocating and problem-solving when needed.
• A critical thinker with a positive attitude.

Desired Skills

• Understanding of materials choice (cathode, anode, binders, conductive additives) on electrode design.
• Understanding lithium-ion cell electrochemical mechanism.
• Experience in LIB high volume manufacturing (slurry, coating, assembly types (stacking, winding), electrolyte filling and wetting, formation).
• In-depth knowledge in cell specification, cell validation, analyzing performance, failure mode analysis, safety test and regulation certificate.

Note:

It is a work from office opportunity and 1st and last Saturdays of the month are working.
