Job description

This role reports to the Cash Operations Team Leader and is part of the LSEG Finance Services Operations function. The candidate will be responsible for a broad range of cash management, disbursement, and accounting activities. This includes managing across Group bank accounts, supporting payment processes, and collaborating with internal teams to resolve queries. As part of a dynamic and evolving organization, the role also offers exposure to projects and ad hoc initiatives that support business priorities.

Role Responsibilities
  • Handle daily cash positioning and liquidity optimally in collaboration with Finance Services Operations and key stakeholders.
  • Review and approve payments accurately and on time using banking platforms across multiple regions.
  • Ensure adherence to established financial controls, policies, and processes.
  • Post financial transactions promptly and accurately to support efficient bank reconciliation processes.
  • Supervise daily cash file uploads into Cash Manager to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Prepare general ledger journal entries for review, approval, and posting.
  • Investigate and follow up on unresolved transactions across Treasury, Financial Reporting, Accounts Payable, and Credit Control teams.
  • Follow the Accounts Receivable Direct Debit process in accordance with timelines.
  • Support the preparation and reconciliation of bank-to-general ledger balances.
  • Partner with wider finance teams to handle high-volume periods and sophisticated issues, ensuring important metrics and reporting deadlines are consistently met.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis, reporting, and support to Group and local finance teams as required.
Preferred Skills and Capabilities
  • Solid understanding of financial controls and operational processes.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle several priorities and work optimally.
  • Collaborative teammate who builds positive working relationships across functions.
  • Experience with Oracle, SAP, Blackline, or similar financial systems is an advantage.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in Accounts Receivable, or Finance Operations within a large organization.
  • Good understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and working to tight deadlines.
  • Experience with reconciliation processes and implementing financial controls in an operational environment.
