Job summary

Tekskills Inc. invites a Senior Test Engineer to join our data engineering team in India. The role focuses on testing ETL pipelines deployed in Azure, with emphasis on Data Factory, Python, and Pytest to ensure accuracy, performance and data integrity across cloud deployments.

You will design and automate test cases, validate data transformations via SQL, and integrate quality checks into CI/CD pipelines, collaborating with data engineers and analysts to meet Power BI data flow specifications.

Qualifications

• Experience testing ETL pipelines, validating data transformations and integrity.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Python, and Pytest in CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to design and automate test cases for data flows and system behaviors.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and execute manual and automated test cases for Azure Data Factory ETL pipelines using Python and Pytest.
• Validate data transformations, mappings, and integrity through SQL queries and data profiling.
• Automate functional, regression, and performance tests of ETL workflows to ensure pipeline reliability.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts and developers to understand ETL and Power BI specifications and data flow requirements.
• Document test plans, test cases, defects, and provide timely feedback on issues.
• Maintain test automation frameworks using Pytest fixtures and libraries to validate Azure data factory activities.

Job Title Senior Test Engineer

As an ETL And Power BI Tester specializing in Azure Data Factory(ADF), Python, and Pytest will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and performance of ETL Pipelines deployed into Azure cloud environments. Role will involve developing and automating comprehensive test cases to validate the data flows, transformations, and system behaviours using python scripting and Pytest framework, integrated into CI/CD pipelines for Automated quality assurance.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Design and develop and execute manual and automated test cases for Azure Data Factory ETL pipelines using python and pytest.
• Validate the data transformations, data mappings, and data integrity through SQL queries and data profiling.
• Automate functional, regression, and perfomance tests of ETL workflows to ensure pipeline reliability.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts and developers to understand ETL and POWER BI Specifications and data flow requirements
• Document Test plans, Test Cases, defects, and provide the timely feedback on issues.
• Maintain Test automation frameworks, leveraging Pytest fixtures and libraries such as to validate Azure data factory activities.
