The Camera Systems team creates embedded imaging solutions for Snapdragon chipsets, leveraging dedicated hardware, multi-core processors, DSP, and GPU cores to provide state-of-the-art photographs, video recordings, photo‑realistic video see-through (for immersive mixed reality), as well as scene data for image understanding and object detection.

Responsibilities

• Research and development for next generation camera features and image quality improvement for Mixed‑reality platforms & AI‑camera/video capabilities on mobile & smart glasses
• Prototype solutions on mobile/XR platforms for proof of concept and demonstration purposes
• Develop and/or optimize image processing and computer vision algorithms for HW acceleration
• Design camera systems that balance power, memory, silicon area to maximize imaging performance

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's + 3yrs relevant experience, Master's + 2 yrs relevant experience or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, and/or closely related field
• Background in digital signal & image processing, image quality tuning
• Background in CMOS sensors and algorithms for sensor and optics processing
• Background in multi‑camera system design including at least one of: temporal synchronization, image fusion, depth estimation, dual‑camera calibration
• Working knowledge with C, C++, Matlab, Python

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years working experience in signal/image processing and/or computer vision
• Experience in XR related imaging/perception problems, and/or automotive perception is desired
• Working knowledge & experience with modern machine learning techniques
• Academic publications in image processing & computer vision research at top conferences and journals
