Job summary

nCircle Tech Private Limited is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to design, implement, and maintain automated tests for graphics-intensive software across desktop, mobile, and cloud environments.

You will translate manual test cases into automated scripts, develop test models, and collaborate with senior engineers to improve CI/CD integration. Proficiency in Python and Perl, and experience with Django-based web apps, are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field with hands-on software development experience.
• 3-5 years of professional experience in test automation within Software Quality Engineering.
• Proficiency in Python and Perl with experience building a web application.
• Experience with version control systems like Git, GitLab or GitHub.
• Expertise in Python and Django (or Django REST Framework).
• Strong API design, OOP patterns, and clean code practices.
• Experience with Postgres and MySQL databases.
• Hands-on CI/CD workflows (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Familiarity with VS Code and AI tools like Copilot and Claude is a plus.
• Experience with regression QA automation workflows and HPC workflows.

Responsibilities

Job Description

• A primary focus will be on designing, writing, enhancing, andmaintaining automated test scripts using languages like Python or similar.You'll help build a robust regression test suite for products
  
• Architect and implement automated tests specifically targetingchallenging user interface and graphics-intensive test cases. You'llleverage tools like Python, Perl, Eggplant or similar, pushing theboundaries of what's automatable.
  
• Create programs or scripts that automate test cases fromreal-world engineering functionalities like import/export, FE modelcreation, analysis setup, or post-processing tasks.
  
• Proactively translate existing manual test cases into efficientautomated scripts, ensuring comprehensive coverage, improved efficiency,and faster feedback cycles. You'll design tests that effectively validatenew features and existing functionality.
  
• Develop and prepare model files necessary to support andvalidate automated test functions within products.
  
• Update the current suite of automated tests to align with thelatest product releases and add new automated tests for functional areasthat currently lack automation.
  
• Work closely with senior QA engineers and software developers,actively contributing to discussions on test strategy, automationarchitecture, and the integration of automated tests into our continuousintegration pipelines.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor'sor Master's degree in Computer Science or Mechanical Engineering, or arelated technical field with hands-on software development experience.
  
• 3-5 years of professionalexperience in test automation within Software Quality Engineering,with a strong portfolio of automation projects.
  
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Perl andexperience with building a web application.
  Experience with version controlsystems like Git, Gitlab or GitHub.
• Expertise in Python and Django (or Django REST Framework).
  
• Strong mastery of OOP design patterns, clean code, and API design.
  
• Experience with relationaldatabases, specifically Postgres and MySQL.
  
• Hands-on experience setting up andmanaging CI/CD workflows (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
  
• Desired experience with VS Code and AI development tools like Copilot and Claude.
  
• Experience with developing regression, QA automation workflowsand high-performance computing (HPC) workflows.
  
• Exposure or experience with software development for desktopsimulations products like Hyperworks, and/or FEA solver tools (e.g.OptiStruct, NASTRAN, ABAQUS, RADIOSS etc.)
  
• Hands-on automation experience with tools like Eggplant orsimilar.
  
• Demonstrates a proactive, can-do attitude with strong logicalreasoning and problem-solving abilities; thrives as a positive andcollaborative team player, shows resilience in challenging situations, andbrings innovative, out-of-the-box thinking to drive solutions.
  

Preferred Qualifications

These "nice-to-haves" will helpyou stand out:

• Familiarity with various operating systems, including Windowsand UNIX/Linux.
  
• Basic understanding of Finite Element Analysis concept eitherthrough coursework or projects. Familiarity with any CAE software is aplus.
