Job summary

Detroit Engineered Products is seeking a CFD engineer in Chennai to drive advanced CAE simulations using Star CCM+ and Fluent. You will clean CAD, mesh surfaces, and run 3D flow and thermal analyses.

You will collaborate with design and manufacturing teams, prepare detailed CFD reports, and propose design improvements. Prior experience with Converge-Studio and Urea deposit modeling is a plus.

Qualifications

• CFD fundamentals and simulation best practices.
• Experience with Star CCM+ and Fluent.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Good understanding of CFD 3D Flow, Thermal, Porous Modeling and DPM modeling.
• Perform CAD cleanup, surface meshing and volume meshing using ANSA, Fluent Meshing (T-Grid) and Star-CCM+.
• Execute CFD simulations with Star-CCM+ and Fluent following best practices for accuracy and efficiency.
• Prepare accurate and detailed CFD reports.
• Identify root causes and propose design improvements to optimize product functionality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals.
• Maintain clear communication of results and recommendations.
• Contribute to process improvements and standard work.
• Knowledge of converge-Studio and Urea deposit modeling is a plus.

Job Description
