Job summary

Taal Tech India in Bengaluru (Karnataka) is seeking a Solid-Works Customization/Automation Engineer with C#/.Net, 5-10 years experience. Based in Kudlu Gate, this is a work-from-office role with no remote or hybrid options.

The candidate will design configurable SOLIDWORKS solutions, automate parts, drawings and BOMs, and collaborate with international teams to ensure quality and timely delivery.

Qualifications

Solid-Works Customization/Automation Engineer with C#/.Net

Experience: 5-10 Yrs of Relevant experience

Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical or Similar Engineering studies.

EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:

• Industrial equipment and configurable product design
• Strong SOLIDWORKS part, assembly and drawing experience
• CAD customization or automation experience
• Bulk material or grain-handling equipment exposure is an advantage

MUST REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Strong SOLIDWORKS modelling and design-configuration capability
• Ability to understand parameters, design rules and product variants
• Programming aptitude with C#/.NET knowledge
• Good problem-solving, validation and communication skills

SKILL / TOOLS KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Coordination

• Understand the customer's configurable products, design rules, key parameters, expected outputs and acceptance criteria.
• Translate engineering requirements into a structured SOLIDWORKS automation solution and phased delivery plan.
• Plan team activities, allocate tasks, review progress, identify risks and coordinate technical clarifications with the customer.
• Guide engineers on modeling standards, automation architecture, validation methods and documentation.
• Conduct technical reviews and ensure that delivered models, drawings, BOMs and reports meet agreed requirements.

SOLIDWORKS Modeling and Product Configuration

• Create and modify robust parts, assemblies and drawings using stable design intent and reusable modeling practices.
• Develop parameter-driven product variants using dimensions, equations, configurations, suppression states and component replacement.
• Maintain model references, mates, drawing views, annotations and related engineering information during regeneration.
• Support configurable industrial equipment and bulk material or grain-handling product workflows.

C#/.NET and SOLIDWORKS API Development

• Develop C#/.NET applications and SOLIDWORKS Add-ins for design automation and product configuration.
• Use the SOLIDWORKS API to control parts, assemblies, drawings, configurations, features, dimensions and properties.
• Develop user interfaces using WinForms or WPF for parameter entry, validation, progress updates and results.
• Handle SOLIDWORKS application and document events, COM objects, exceptions, logging and recovery conditions.
• Package, install and support automation tools across approved SOLIDWORKS versions.

Engineering Data and Documentation Automation

• Automate custom properties, materials, mass properties, BOMs, drawing notes and title-block information.
• Generate and update drawings, PDFs and other agreed engineering outputs after model regeneration.
• Create execution logs, validation reports, user instructions and technical documentation.

Quality and Validation

• Validate inputs before modifying models and verify outputs after each automated operation.
• Check rebuilds status, references, mates, configurations, dimensions, properties, mass, BOM and drawing consistency.
• Use controlled source-code management, peer reviews, test cases and issue tracking for reliable delivery.

Education and Professional Experience

• Bachelors degree in mechanical, Production, Manufacturing or a related Engineering discipline.
• Senior Engineers: Six or more years of relevant mechanical design or CAD automation experience preferred.
• Engineers: three to six years of relevant SOLIDWORKS design experience preferred.
• Experience with industrial equipment, configurable products, bulk material handling or grain-handling systems is an advantage.

SOLIDWORKS Skills

• Strong capability in part modeling, assemblies, drawings, configurations, equations and design intent.
• Experience with custom properties, materials, mass properties, BOMs and drawing documentation.
• Ability to diagnose rebuild, reference, mate and configuration-related issues.
• SOLIDWORKS API, VBA macro or other CAD customization experience is strongly preferred.

Programming and Automation Skills

• Expert working knowledge of C#/.NET or demonstrated programming aptitude
• Understanding of object-oriented programming, collections, events, exception handling and debugging.
• Familiarity with Visual Studio, desktop user-interface development and source control is preferred.
• Ability to understand and develop maintainable automation logic with proper error handling and validation.

Communication Skills

• Good written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to explain CAD behavior, automation logic, technical risks and validation results clearly.
• Ability to collaborate with international and geographically distributed engineering teams.
